Grand Far East Hotel — Hotel in Johor

Arrive 5th of Feb and check out on the 9th. Not the first time here to the hotel.|Hotel - service as usual like before. Nice Staff and also room are clean, except this time the router seem to give problem in the room area which at times unable to connect which could last to 2 hour. Otherwise connection is good and strong.||Surrounding - with many eateries around no worry about finding food.|added surprise was the new cinema at Today. Watch a movie over there but was cold inside as only many as 10 people watching only mainly due the festive season.||Done a lot of shopping over at today mall, with Rm2 shop. A DIY shop and many other small shop inside. Plus also tesco which is nearby. ||So much shopping this round mainly because of the weather condition we did not go far away. But we will be back again.||Like - quite town and less than 20km...

We arrived around 3pm. Check in time was the usual 2pm. Room was not ready and we had to wait about 30 minutes for our room. When we got in, the floor was wet. There was a weird smell, thinking it might be the previous occupants' we let it pass. The bathroom was bad, water pressure was strong but the heater was not good enough. The worst part was, we were itching the whole 1st night. On the 2nd night we found melted chocolate on the blanket, we didn't pull the blanket out from the bed because the room was very stuffy. Not having any windows were already depressing adding to this chocolate stain. And don't let me start on the breakfast. The tea and coffee are thin, there was a lack of protein. If you are a vegetarian you may like it but not us. We found bits of scrambled eggs in the fried bee hoon, thats all. Definitely not going to go...

First of all this is a budget hotel that target business executives so don't expect 5 stars service or facilities. ||||Good:||1) Affordable price (RM60++ for single bed room with breakfast)||2) Foc breakfast (so i no need to worry about my breakfast)||3) sufficient parking (they have a guard to station during night time)||4) Good location ||5) basic facilities (water dispenser , ironing section, gym , astro and etc)||||Bad: ||1) cleanliness is just soso (some may think it's dirty)||2) rundown furniture.||3) They have alot of wife spot but sometime it still difficult to connect.||4) sometimes the key card is not working.||||Overall I felt that this is a good hotel with affordable price, it has what I needed for my...
