I have been staying in this hotel since it started business. Average 10 days per months i staying there. Can be said as a regular customer there. Room is clean and location convenient.
However, the receptionist there are not well trained. Talking to hotel guest not in polite way.
I am still remember, i am not get well treats even staying regularly there. Everytime same room given. If the room occupied by other guest, a Chinese receptionist, named Joyce will said no more room available. But wen i saw other guests walking in, they are offered with rooms.
One day, I tried to reserve online and successfully reserved a room which is not the regular room i stay. When i check in, the other receptionist arranged a new room to me. But Joyce has scold then why arrange other room for me. I am very angry at that moment and i don't know where to make a complaint. There is not any duty manager there. Joyce just do what she liked. Very low standard services.
I have stop staying this hotel anymore since july 2022. There are some more excellent hotel available in Batu pahat with clean room conditions and most important things is with better services.
Hope Maple Lodge owner can see my review here and know why i had stopped staying...
Read moreRoom was okay, decent, the only good thing about this hotel is the Starbucks next door. Booked my room last minute and was told the price is higher due to Hari Raya, which I don’t really mind.
What bothers me is that there is no drop off point at this hotel, the parking with shade in front of the hotel was reserved for the boss, a total of 5-6 parking bays were blocked off, but only one vehicle was parked throughout my stay, should have open a few bays for the customer’s to be able to drop off passengers and luggages. If you can charge extra for festive season, you should have the courtesy to open a few of those reserved parkings for drop off. It’s a hassle especially when you are travelling with elderly and babies.
Upon check out, was told to wait for 10 minutes as they would need to check the condition of the room, never encountered such situation even at the nearby hotel in Batu Pahat.
Hopefully Maple Lodge management would consider to have a proper drop off point...
Read moreOur incidental staycation at Maple Lodge happened because a friend of ours could not make it. A change of guests was easily facilitated by the duty receptionists, Wada and Ana. They provided cheerful and helpful service. Entering the room, we found it no frills, just simple, clean and tidy. It shows that the housekeeping staff did a good job.
However, we would recommend that guests run the taps with hot water to rid the water of a very strong chlorine smell, and to bring their own shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. The quality of the amenities reflect the hotel rating and it shows here. The toiletry fragrance is an acquired taste. Yet, I cannot help but appreciate the Grohe rain shower and clean bathroom. The hotel provides a hairdryer too.
The location is excellent, Old Street, Pantai Hospital, McDonald's and KFC is a short drive away. The hotel is served by the only Starbucks in Batu Pahat.
Overall, I would recommend Maple Lodge to friends...
