Thought it was a new hotel, or maybe a newly refurbished hotel.||||Also they allow early check in. Which was a plus. So put in the request with the specific time frame.||||Arrived within the specific time frame and was told no... only on availability. But need to be back past noon in order to check in.||||Have to go off some where else to past time for a couple of hours.||||Back past noon and was allowed to check in and was charged another MYR10 for early check in. Standard chck in time is after 2pm!||||After gotten the key, approached the lift to get to my room. The lift is rather old and slow in respond. The wooden decor inside the lift is really aging. The lift door were pasted with a one piece sticker poster with the hotel's sort of advertisement. Looks like the lift doors is in bad condition and the sticker poster to cover it.||||Got out of the lift and have to walk past their so called ballroom/function room to get to the assigned room on the mezzanine floor or M floor.||||The ballroom/function room is just an empty space!||||To get to the assigned room, need to go up a 4 step stairs, Getting up this flight of steps , which is wooden and like a platform and along the entire verandah. Very noisy.||||Got into the room and the general impression is not impressive at all. Past the bathroom, need to get down a 4 step stairs to get into the room proper. The floor is wooden and again it shows its age.||||Very much like a 1970s setting and not maintained at all.||||In the bathroom, the shower stall do not have any shower curtains. and the floor was wet. The wall tiles were almost like falling off and some were chipped off. The ceiling has shown its deterioration.||||The bed is okay, but don't seems to be clean.||||The pool area is really nice, which is located at the back of the hotel. and open air.||||There is basement parking which needs to drive to the side to get into the basement.||||In front of the hotel, there are public parking space where you need to buy and scratch parking coupon and display them. Except that it was probably taken 20 years ago with very poor maintenance team taking care of the rooms, resulting in the state that it is in now||Portal into the Past|Taking the elevator hints the chain of disappointments that would follow. The musky smelling, really dated elevator is like a portal into the 1800s! And stepping out isn’t much of a relief either! Walking towards the room really brings one back to the past! The dated decor, the blend of damp and musky smell continue into the rooms! It was so bad that the children in my group whined about backing out and to hit the road in search of another hotel!||Rooms|What greeted us when we swing open the door to the room was a sight from a haunted mansion! So freaked out by how spooky the room was that my friend jumped on the opportunity to bunk into my room when his air condition died out! so I now had 4 adults and 4 children on 2 queen beds! The air condition unit in my room clearly was from another era, the manual control of the unit that was attached to the wall was the only lifeline the 8 of us held on to and could make a difference between our already horrendous night to a hellish one. The discomfort of packing so many of us into a room was the result of the many fails the hotel had. ||The stair in the room was creaking with each step and didn’t give the assurance of holding our weight. It bends with every step too! ||The toilet was in need of an upgrade. The shower screen was missing and the tiles look so aged and were slippery when wet. The door to the toilet shouldn’t be opaque, one can make out the outline of the body of the person in the toilet.||WIFI|We have to request the staffs to reset the WiFi. But that unfortunately failed to work too! Apparently nothing works in the hotel! The list can go on and on!||Overall|Would I stayed there again? NO||Would I recommend this stay to someone? YES I would definitely recommend this to someone I hate!||This stay is definitely not for the...
Read moreOur experience at Hotel Super Cowboy Melaka was honestly disappointing, and I wouldn’t choose to come back here again. While the hotel has some good points—like a decent swimming pool (though it was quite crowded during the weekend) and friendly, helpful staff—the negatives really outweighed the positives.
The biggest issue was cleanliness and hygiene. We found a cockroach in the room, and the pillow covers didn’t seem clean. The bedsheets looked worn out, and it's highly recommended to bring your own towel and bedding if you're particular about cleanliness. There were no basic toiletries provided either—not even shampoo or soap—so you’ll need to bring your own bathroom essentials.
Another major problem was the room lock. It wasn’t functioning, so every time we left or came back to the room, we had to call a staff member to unlock the door for us. It was not only inconvenient but also felt very unsafe.
On top of that, the hotel is located right next to a main road. The traffic noise at night—especially motorbikes and cars—was extremely loud and made it very hard to sleep peacefully. It felt more like a roadside motel than a relaxing stay.
The only saving grace was the polite and helpful staff, who did their best whenever we asked for assistance. But overall, with poor hygiene, no basic amenities, noise issues, and safety concerns, I honestly would not...
