This is THE beach when I was a child. We (and everybody else) would bring our own home cooked food in metal tiffin and tupperware, a mat, umbrellas and what have you, spread it out, and forked a couple of ringgits to rent the huge tyre tube as pelampung... Then we'll play and bath at the beach until out digits are wrinkly and our skin burned like a roasted peanut (or lobster).

Good, old times...

It is sad that nowadays everything costs money,.. The beach is undeniably cleaner now, with better facilities, and lots of food and games being offered, but everything comes at a cost, and well, ok, that's fair

The bane of it though, is that you have to fork out substantial amount of money just to have a good spot on the beach! You would have to rent a tent at a ridiculous price just to sit down with your family? And if you don't, good luck because the tents are everywhere, as if they're the landlord of the land and we are all just peasants who don't deserve to have your own time and private space on the the beach

So (sigh) two stars only, for the natural beach. You are really better off a hundred metres both ways from this place, where the beach is cleaner, quieter, and best...

Came here right after the MCO lifted the ban on inter District travel. The beach is surprisingly clean and well maintained I must say. Shacks with table n chairs can be rented so that you can enjoy the beach while shadeling yourself from the scorch of the sun. There are plenty of stalls nearby so don't have to worry about not bringing any food or drinks. The water isn't anywhere near to the east coast but it isn't too bad either. Enjoy the breeze while reading a book or take the banana ride or a jet ski for those more adventurous. PD is definitely a place to unwind over the weekend, even for a day's trip if you're from KL or the likes.

Shower and toilet are also near, however these needs improvement. Otherwise a decent...

There is a line of dirt on the front line of the sea water and there is some plastic in the water and sand. A lot of small grocer and food store here, so food is not a concern and if you want to buy kite or floater. You got to rent those tents by the shore, not free. I think these renters should take care of this wonderful beach if they are here to make business. A lot of facilities by the government including good parking and walk way all the way to the beach.. the sea water cleanliness might also be affected by the pass amount of boat for this small area of beach which I think is overloaded even for swimming purposes you will find boat blocking your way and it...

one of the clear water beaches in Malaysia. although the wind is not so strong, still u can relax and enjoy the calm sea breeze. water level rises early in the morning and decreases in the evening. the sand is very soft, sea water is not too salty, but please don't drink it. always crowded with people as the beach is very nice. there are canopy available to rent along side of the beach so you don't have to worry about sun burn. many boat activity available, from banana boat to jet ski, you can choose what u want. it's a very nice experiences at this place, looking foward to come here again soon
