Cherating Eastana Beach Resort — Hotel in Pahang

i go there during school holiday for business purposes. i have no choice during that time and company booking this hotel due to other hotel already fully booked.||late check in at 1.00 am and hotel receptionist ask for cash money. no credit card facilities and i have no cash at that time and he give me stupid answer that i cannot check in until i pay cash eventhough i said the atm not available during that time. i call my company agen & i'm surprise that my agen already paid cash during booking. there are miscommunication between their staf which not update my agen payment. i check in at 2,00am at triple room. suddenly i see cockroach in my room and inform staf however he ask me to get ridsect at reception instead he should pass to me.||on that night also 1 guest request to change room due to ceiling falling on their room. what the surprise? ||second day i open my door to get fresh air however 2 rats come to my room. i ask staf to change my room but they refuse and send housekeeping to search the rat. very dispointed at the time.||last day overthere, i request for late check out @ 3pm on the morning however during check out they request for extra money. there are no communication between morning and afternoon staf with my request. i dont want to pay because the service there very worst in the world and still remember the cockroachs and rats inside my room.||very stupid staff and the only good is hotel manager@owner which...

Paid 402MR for two rooms and pretty much very basic for what you pay. Rooms were clean, bathrooms were in need of refurbishment. Close to beach but that's all that it had going for it. ||||On arrival we paid for room, reception gave us towels and keys and pointed to our rooms but it took a good 5min to find them. The beds were short, bathroom small and,[shutter] door to bathroom not working. The place was run down and in need of serious face lift. The place was just not welcoming and nor were any if the staff. ||||Breakfast: noodles with a bit of tofu, fried rice (but there was none left), bread and crap jams with a toaster that didnt work. On the up side the banana bread was alright. ||||Across the road at Residence Inn we got a room with 2 doubles (which were clean and modern) with a balcony and pool views. There was a huge pool a baby pool and a spa pool. Rooms had Flat Screen TV a great buffet breakfast and for 290MR. Don't waste your MR at Eastana go to Residence...

We went to Cherating at late evening when we couldn't get any hotel anymore. The cheapest I could find was Impiana Club Suit (about RM 1,000++) after all we drove into a guest house area. I would like to say, the first time I feel a place like "mini-langkawi" in Malaysia Peninsula. A small road to enter the beach with plenty guest house and eating area. Easy access to get beer and alcohol drink too, while on the main road you'll hardly see any sign. |||| But we were surprised, the room was totally fine. I guess the owner took an effort to repair the unit. ||||The Beach is just walking distance, bring your cooler box filled with a lot of beer and cider. They open a new bar by the beach too (new) worth checking.||||Contra:||1. No towel hanger, which are essential for beach resorts.||2. No tap water in front of each chalet to wash our sandy feet||3. Breakfast managed by a Chinese restaurant (inside premises) food was awful, but nevermind... plenty great food...
