Went to Intan Seafood around 6:45–6:55 PM and got all our food and drinks by 7:15 PM — not bad on timing.

Overall, the food was okay. I’d personally rate it 3.5/5, but my husband gives it a solid 4/5 — mainly because of the Lala, which was hands down the champion of the night!

Here’s a quick breakdown of what we had:

Salted Egg Squid – Wouldn’t recommend this one. It tasted more like telur dadar than salted egg. Didn’t have that rich salted egg flavor at all.

Butter Prawns – Big-sized prawns, definitely worth the price and not tough at all. But the taste was a bit off; seems like they haven’t quite nailed the proper butter prawn flavor.

Fish – Sedap! The fish itself was fresh and cooked well. The gravy was just okay.

Lala (Clams) – The highlight! Full of flavor and perfectly cooked. This dish alone bumped up my husband’s rating.

Vegetable (Baby Kailan) – Pretty standard. Nothing special, but it did the job.

Total bill came to RM173.80 for two people. Not cheap, but fair considering the portions and seafood.

Would still come back to try other dishes — but will skip the salted egg...

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend coming here, especially during peak season. The whole experience left us really disappointed. The food was meh and what really ruined it was the service easily a -2/10.

We waited over an hour for our food, and even after asking multiple times, we never got the siakap fish or mantou buns we ordered. No updates, no follow-up. Just... silence.

When we went to pay, we politely brought it up to the cashier, hoping at least for some understanding but instead, they blamed us for not reminding them earlier. We were honestly stunned and didn’t even know how to respond.

And when we said we never even got an apology, they just said, “Dah mintak maaf, u guys tak dengar” That felt so dismissive. It was rude, cold, and honestly just heartbreaking for a place we were excited to try.

We left feeling disappointed, unheard, and honestly a little disrespected. Definitely not the experience...

Overall the food was ok, nothing too special. We had kailan ikan masin, siakap tiga rasa, sotong salted egg and telur goreng for two.

The siakap tiga rasa came with very little kuah. We were hoping to use it as sauce for the rice (prefer the soupish kind), but it turned out agak kering.

Same with the sotong salted egg, bukan versi biasa yang kering sikit + kuah pekat tu, but this one was completely dry and crispy. I can still taste the salted egg, just not as rich.

The rest was alright.

Went on a Thursday, quite early before Maghrib around 6ish, so the place wasn’t crowded. Tapi service agak slow, waited close to 30mins for the dishes to arrive walaupun ada 2-3 je meja occupied.

Sat at the corner table near the beach and once it got dark, nyamuk + lalat banyak. Best to avoid that spot or minta lilin kot. We left not long after.

Bill came to RM112.80. A bit pricey, but mungkin sebab...

A family run, local Malay seafood restaurant on the beach. The local restaurant was clean and well lit. We arrived closer to 8pm on a weekend and was able to get a table. Our server took our order and made great recommendations. We were impressed the menu is available in English and she was able to provide translation of the fish types. Was concerned the food would take long to come out but everything was served fairly quickly at the same time. We had: (Ample food for 2) - A jug of their freshly blended carrot and milk - Salted egg squid - Fried seabass (siakap) with sambal - Kailan garlic with oyster sauce - Foo yang (egg) with crab meat - Rice - Sambal belachan is a must if you enjoy spicy! Everything was so tasty, the Foo yang was a little too salty. We would come back again!
