Read more30/6/24 - We had the nasi lemak and nasi dagang for breakfast. Then decided to stay a bit longer and ordered a portion of fries to be shared with the group while we played card games.
The waitress came with a plate of fries with toastie, when asked if this is how the fries should look like and if it came with the toastie, she said yes and left. We shrugged it off and shared the meal. Before we wanted to leave, a bowl of fries came to our table.
We explained to the waiter that we already accepted the earlier dish and even asked if this was the correct order to the previous server. The waiter just said in that case we had to pay for the previous dish as well and left the bowl of fries with us.
We paid as per told. However, we were extremely disappointed with how it was handled by the establishment. The waitress who initially served us sent the order to the wrong table and we barely received a sincere apology. In other places we wouldve been able to refuse and send the later dish back to the kitchen.
The food and coffee is average, apart from the nasi lemak which was really good, but we enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafe notwithstanding this situation. However, we hope these situations can be handled better by the cafe and to better train the staff on the layout. Understood also that miscommunication happens all the time, but customer service (speaking as someone who once also worked as a waitress) could definitely be better.
