This review is not about my stay - because I paid for the accommodation but could not stay there. I paid for the accommodation in full just before the pandemic started - and then we went into lockdown. Had updated the management about my inability to travel in 2020 because the window of time (sometime in late 2020) had to be used for urgent family matters, not for my own holiday.
And then we went into lockdown again in 2021. All the while - I heard nothing from the management, and it's only in October 2021 I remembered I had a a fully paid booking here. My Whatsapp messages were unanswered although they were read. And when I rang to inquire, the overall tone that I got was "you booked last year and you only want to come this year - why didn't you come when travel was allowed last year?". There was no offer of alternative options - just a flat no, it's my fault - that's the message I got. Okay, it's my fault. But the management's tone could have been more helpful and friendly. I suppose my fully paid but unused accommodation here gone to support them when they couldn't run their business during lockdown. Good luck to them. I'm passing Kuantan in a few days actually but I'll stay away from...

The room was much smaller than anticipated, especially considering the price — my friend’s room just RM20-30 more per night was significantly more spacious. Lighting was also an issue; even with all the lights on, the room was very dim, and one of the bedside lamps was blinking. Cleanliness was below standard, with noticeable dust and dirt on the bedsheet. Also, the placement of the bathroom mirror was oddly inconvenient — it was only visible from a very specific angle, which didn’t make much sense. Overall, I think there’s a lot of room for...
Read moreIt was my first time in Kuantan, and I chose this boutique hotel to stay with my family. It’s actually located in a residential area, where they’ve renovated and converted a double-storey house into hotel rooms. I booked the Loft Suite, which comes with two queen-sized beds and can accommodate up to four adults. Since we’re a family of five, I requested an extra bed with an additional charge of RM80.Overall, the stay was okay. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis inside the gate. However, there’s still space to park outside by the roadside. There’s no guard, but there are CCTVs.Overall...
