Great location if you wish to be away from the hustle and bustle as it is generally quite peaceful and serene.

Loved that the rooms were pretty spacious unlike at genting skyworlds. However the rooms we were in looked pretty tired and hygiene could be better managed. The tap at the sink looked like it could use some maintenance- the cold water was a measly small stream of water and it’s almost impossible to wash your hands at the sink because the water is so hot(couldn’t do 50-50 between hot and cool water). The water temperature at the bathroom fluctuates between okay to very hot so we got to keep adjusting the tap accordingly as we took our shower. Cups for toothbrushing in the toilet (for the two rooms we booked) looked quite dirty(didn’t even seemed scrubbed at all) and we didn’t dare to use them at all. Soap dispenser is a little rusty. There was a large gaping hole in the door frame of the toilet that needed fixing and there were small ants everywhere in the room, the toilet. We had two days where we returned to our room filled with insects as the housekeeper left the balcony door open and we couldn’t stay in the same room again when it happened the second night (despite giving feedback at the front desk about the open balcony door) as there were large spiders, large ants and a grasshopper in the room so we had to move out to another room at another floor (at 10pm, with a toddler in tow), which then had a leakage at the base of the toilet bowl leading to a leaky and wet toilet which we decided to put up with for just one more night. Not sure if it’s just the way housekeeping is done on level 19 but our subsequent stay on level 24, despite the leaky toilet bowl, was actually pretty clean and the cups in the toilet looks clean.

Breakfast spread was decent (wished they had pancakes and/or waffles) but they don’t seem to top up the food at the buffet line so it seems that once it’s finished, that’s it (though they do top up at the live stations). You might want to go early otherwise you might not get to enjoy the full spread though there will still be other things you can eat. Hygiene is decent at the breakfast buffet.

Would also be great if they had in room service since they do have a restaurant that serves the guests till late.

Food at the hotpot restaurant is really nice so if you’re interested you can give that a try(plus there’s lovely views too!)

Love that they have little activities around the first floor of the hotel to engage children in.

We may go back for the large rooms and the relaxing atmosphere of this hotel. But other than that, it is quite a hassle to travel back and forth especially if you want to bring the kids to the theme parks located up the mountain- you got to take the shuttle bus(which fills up pretty quickly during our time of visit) and then hop on a cable car and then it’s the...

REVIEW ABOUT GOLFING

Me and my family had a 2 days 1 night trip here to visit Genting Skyworld on the next day. When i acknowledge that it was a gold resort i was excited, and i checked on Google that they did have a driving range so i brought my clubs.

Due to time issue and no one to company. I had only decided to spend some time on the driving range and practise green. However upon arriving the driving range, it was badly maintained. And the main issue was, where do i get the balls. There was no staff to assist and i had to walk back all the way to near lobby ( around 300m ) to discover a small counter beside a car park. A small counter just like a counter to receive your towel beside the pool for you to imagine.

But isokay now that i had found it should be fine right? but no. I ask for the balls and the counter lady asked how many buckets i wanted. I asked for two, but the worker responsible for the ball collect replied no more and ask me to wait for tomorrow, like what? A golf range that can even give me 100 balls? After insisting again the worker agreed to collect some balls for me but only a hundreds which i accepted. So i paid RM40 which is quite expensive in the market and waited 15minutes for it. And that's the end of the story for the range but not all.

After finishing my balls, i saw a sign which lead to a practice green. I had my own golf balls so i decided to head to it. But after walking for a whole round, there is no practise green in sight. So i head back to the 1st hole of the course and saw a practise green. I couldn't find the entrance to it other that a locked gate, there for i went to a worker that were maintaining the green beside the gate to ask how do i go in, he responded : "tolak masuk je" so i did. And not even 1 min stepping in the course, a staff located around the lobby blew his whistler asking me to come out. Fantastic, when need help no one show up, but to cari pasal came like a flash. So i went to him and ask the worker say i could go in why are you asking me out, and he responded brainlessly. And i ask so how can i go to the practise green, started bullshitting me again with nonsense like go to golf counter need sign up package and rent buggy blablabla, i have to sign up a 18holes package and rent a buggy just to put some balls? Too funny. The attitude of him is unacceptable too.

Rooms are bad to, bad ac bad heater. Overall not even disappointed just got amused but the management of the...

Me and my wife went to Resorts World Awana for a one night stay and the experience was, quite frankly, unacceptable and has left us feeling frustrated and disrespected.

Upon arriving at the lobby around 2 p.m., despite unloading two suitcases and other belongings right in front of your bellman, we were completely ignored. No greeting, no assistance—nothing. This lack of basic hospitality was deeply disappointing, especially at an establishment of your reputation.

While I went to park the car, my wife proceeded to the front desk for check-in. She was assisted by an associate named Syamim, who informed her that early check-in was possible as there were plenty of rooms available. However, the room we were assigned, on the 12th floor, faced the parking area rather than the golf course view we had hoped for.

I called the front desk to inquire about the possibility of switching rooms, given that we had just been told there were many available. This is when the service completely deteriorated. The front desk associate, Syamim, was shockingly rude. When I politely asked if we could switch to a room with a better view, he raised his voice, telling me that rooms with golf course views were "assigned based on availability" and were now fully booked. When I questioned how that was possible, considering we had been told minutes earlier that many rooms were still available, Syamim responded in a condescending tone, repeating that the rooms were fully booked and offered no explanation or apology. He then rudely hung up the phone.

I called again to request his name and ask how I could speak to a supervisor. Instead of offering to connect me, Syamim rudely told me to "find the supervisor downstairs" and hung up on me a second time—again, without so much as an apology.

This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable. Not only was Syamim’s tone disrespectful, but his unprofessional behavior reflects poorly on the entire establishment. A polite explanation or simple apology would have gone a long way, but instead, I was met with hostility and...

We came here on the first day of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, to continue our annual Raya Staycation which had originally started during the pandemic years. It was a two hours drive from Ampang, and we reached the hotel at 3:00 pm, which was not too bad compared to the folks who were driving all the way to Kelantan...Upon our arrival, we were met with some very polite and curteous staffs, who kept wishing us "Selamat Hari Raya", as we were all decked in our baju melayu and baju kurung outfits. That certainly helped us with such a quick and smooth check in process. Najwa had booked the VIP Golf Suite, number 7501 which turned out to be an excellent choice after all. The main suite area was very spacious, with a Kingsized bed for me and my wife, and another separate room for Najwa. Both bathrooms were nice and comfortable, and the closet spaces were in abudance. Daniel was satisfied with the pullout sofa bed, which was situated directly facing the large tv screen. But he was most happy with the provision of a cooker oven and a big fridge, which meant that he would be able to cook some late night snacks. And...he did. The ample sized balcony was facing the golf course, and the views looking out were simply fantastic. Amid the green lush of the fir and casuarina trees, we could definitely get used to this kind of living, albeit for only one day and one night... Daniel was so looking forward to visiting the gym later at night, as he always does. But unfortunately, the gym here was closed so much earlier, at 11:00 pm. He was so frustrated, but I explained to him that only city hotels would have a 24 hour gymnasium. Another plus point was the shuttle bus service to the Genting Premium Outlet, which we definitely didnt want to miss. But being the first day of Hari Raya, the crowd was quite big, and the bus was fully loaded in both directions, mostly made up by foreign tourists. If we were to come again for the next visit, we will try not to choose another Hari Raya, for obvious reasons...

We booked the Villa Room (VIP Golf Suite) which came with 2 Queen beds and was spacious enough to accommodate my husband, myself, and my elderly parents. The room was easy to access, which was important since both of my parents require wheelchairs. The overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing, especially during sunset when we could sit at the field and enjoy the view together with other guests. However, there are several areas that I was not satisfied with: 1. Check-in/Check-out Tax Confusion I had already paid the RM6 Pahang tax for two nights during check-in. However, during checkout, the lady with glasses insisted on deducting RM3 from my wheelchair deposit, saying it was for the tax. This shows that their system does not have a proper record, and it was quite disappointing. 2. Parking for Disabled Guests When we dropped off my elderly parents, none of the staff informed us that there was a designated parking area for wheelchair users. There were empty lots available, yet we noticed luxury cars occupying those wheelchair-marked spaces instead. This was very unfair and showed a lack of enforcement by the staff. 3. Restaurant Service for Elderly Guests The staffs at the dining area were not attentive towards elderly guests in wheelchairs. My husband and I had to manage everything on our own, moving chairs and arranging the tables so that my parents could sit comfortably. No staff member stepped forward to assist, even when it was clear that we were struggling. We had booked the Villa Club Room, which should have given us access to the special dining area, but unfortunately, that space was too cramped and unsuitable for two wheelchairs. Overall, while the Villa Room was comfortable and the surroundings were peaceful, the lack of proper support and consideration for wheelchair users made our stay less enjoyable than it could have been. Resorts World Awana should improve staffs awareness and facilities for elderly and disabled guests.
