Big NO to this Hotel

We book the hotel through agoda. A big No to this Hotel. The room was small from my expectation. We paid 238myr for 12hour stay.wifi is not provided. Rooms are too small that there is no space after the double bed. The staff are not helpful, the rooms are not as advertised and positively minuscule. Stayed with my in law family, husband and my baby. I felt very uncomfortable when I was there. Many of the TV channels aren't working, the shower head water pressure is barely strong enough to take a shower and the electricity was cut for an hour when I was there. i contact thr manager but he never pick up. the counter close and no one was there to help. me and my husband walk here and there just only to get the electric on again. really frustrated and angry. lastly the bangla worker show off and turn on the electric. my husband mad beyond expectation and the worker still stay and act like no feeling. I get into the room and feel so bad. The room was very very small and no amenities at all. Towel and bed sheet look dirty. Group of bangla working here know nothing about guest service and they are not hotelier. If they put this hotel name such as guesthouse or lower than this is better cos no need to pay much tax and low expectation from clients. The room was plain disgusting, the bedding was so old it was torn apart, the mattress are stained and sticky, it smelled mouldy and dusty. The staff was unfriendly, it seemed like effort for them to help. Not a place to stay for family with young children or infant. Typical Malaysian style of doing room business, wants easy money without so much capital expenditure. Disgusting!!!

The only saving grace for this place is its central location. I will not be staying here again and you should...

I’m sorry for the harsh post, but never have I felt so disgusted in a hotel in Malaysia.|I think the management of this place needs to read this.||Besides being in the Centre of Teluk Nipah beach, location is very strategic but there are numerous hotels around you can choose from.|It is a really filthy place, dirty rooms, broken bathroom doors, the beds were not comfortable, Bathroom did was not equipped, pillows and blanket were not clean.|No other facilities that you will enjoy at this Hornbill Resort, not even the swimming Pool as it is merely just a stagnant pond, Very greenish and not maintained.|The walkway to the pool is filthy, not taken care of and I felt like I travelled to a 3rd world country. It felt unsafe even though I know there were families around.|Major renovation and remodeling needed.|Paid RM200 for one night for 4 pax, in terms of price, it may be competent with the budget hotels but the budget hotels were way cleaner and better looking and came with breakfast.|Air-Conds were pre-programmed so that it automatically reverts back to original setting and it felt uncomfortable while sleeping at night.||Please don’t cheat people with their money. Even the stalls opposite the resort was asking us if we had booked with this resort and had nothing good to say about it. Apparently it was off-loaded by some Tengku Muda (didn’t catch the name) or VVIP that I can’t recall, and since then the resort was in filth.|Bangladesh workers in the lobby doesn’t make you feel any less confident that this place isn’t right for families.||Please...

The guy at the front desk claimed there's a 70% tax on the price shown online! He then got on the phone to speak to the "boss" who told me the lowest price they can do is 80 ringgit a night (although the online price is 58). Even at 58 ringgit, this is not value for money. I was dumb enough to believe "the boss" who told me I can walk around and won't find any place lower than 80 a night. Fortunately, I just paid for one night and the next morning I've found many places at lower prices and offering much better and cleaner facilities. ||||This place is also known as Nipah Garden Bay Resort and Seaview Pangkor Resort. It probably has so many names in the hope that their bad name won't spread as fast as it should. ||||The room I was given is dirty, dank and dusty. The mattress is old and worn out. The walls are not well insulated and noise from the room next door was very loud at night (after midnight). The front desk closes before 21:00 and the wifi in the room doesn't work. Apart from the location, there's nothing positive about this so-called resort.||||Avoid this dump at all cost! You can stay at better and cheaper places just 3-5...

If you ever coming to pangkor island, do not ever even think of renting a room in hornbill resort. Unfortunately, i thought that i am going to enjoy my stay here but i didn't. Firstly, we had to wait 30 minutes after long travel for check in. See, we supposed to check in at 2.00 sharp, we arrived 1 hour before the check in time which means at 1 o'clock and we did not get into our until 2.30. Secondly, the rooms are filthy. There is no remote controller for the AC to set it like i want. Beds and sheets and the room overall are dirty and the lock of the door can be easily broken. the TV is very small and probably not functional, the wallsare cracked and the room literally doesn't give you the feeling that you rent in a resort, it made me feel like i am in a jail. Finally, the service is awful. Basically they don't care about the customers an they treat them very bad. To sum up, you are going to regret every cent you are going to spend here.

This is my honest review ya. The moment we arrived, the experience was already disappointing. The check-in counter felt gloomy and the staff wasn’t welcoming at all — no smile, no friendliness. Upon entering the room, we were greeted by a swarm of mosquitoes flying out, to the point we had to buy Ridsect from a nearby shop. The room had a musty smell, the TV had no remote and only 2 channels, and the entire space felt very small, old, and poorly maintained. No proper toiletries were provided except for one small bar of soap. The bathroom was unpleasant — leaking sink, scary-looking toilet, and unfinished flooring. The only plus point is the location, which is close to shops and the beach. But overall, it was a traumatic experience for us. We only stayed for one night before checking out early and moving to another hotel. Definitely not coming back to this resort.

I went for 2D1N at Hornbill Resort Pulau Pangkor, it's need further improvements to the room mattress, reception counter, the comforter bed sheets cover, pillow, and others part. Maybe some said if you want more pay more, but for me as one of the accommodation at the tourism industry , you should serve to meet the minimum expectation as a "resort" for each guest. Clean, tidy, great hospitality and comfortable most crucially. My conclusion, if you okay for just sleep without concerning about anything, you can just stay. But if you don't, just try others place. The best part, this resort near to the main road, beach, souvenir market, food street. It's up on what you want during the holiday.
