Well what more can i say about this little gem of a place.||Used our regular local driver to get us from K.L to the Pangkor ferry.(He can take up to 5 people. Private message me for details/contacts).Fifteen minute ferry ride to the island and 2o minutes by taxi bus to the Nipah Bay Villa RM 15.||Regularly stayed at this place since 2008. Little has changed. It is comprised of a large area front of house where reception is located and used for the breakfast buffet RM 10. Quite basic, tea, toast eggs sausage, fruits etc.||If you are lucky you may see the hornbills visiting the restaurant area.||There is different accommodation determined by price. stone built villas close to the front are the highest price, wooden ones cheaper and you have the block of small apartments on different levels. Whatever you choose they are all relatively cheap for budget accommodation.|| It is set behind the main road in peaceful surroundings amongst a variety of trees and green foliage.||What sets this place apart is the proximity to the best laid back beach (coral Bay. A genuine ten minute walk away. The beach is clean white sand and clear warm water to swim in. There are a couple of quiet small resorts and two restaurants on the beach. Daddies Café where you can get western food and alcoholic drinks and next door an authentic Chinese Malay restaurant which serves local dishes and some of the best fish dishes, includibg steam boat. If you like to just laze about on the beach eating and drinking and watching the world go by,then here is the place for you. Pangkor is not mass invaded by international tourists, mainly local Malaysians and their families who come here on weekends and public holidays. Monday to friday you can often have the beach to yourself. Pound for pound i think the price the Nipah Bay ||charges is very good. The rooms may not be luxurious but are clean and fit for purpose. Personally i dont spend a lot of time in them except for sleeping. Would i reccommend this place, yes in...
Read moreWe spend 3 Days 2 Night at Nipah Bay Villa. Eventhough we are late that day, they still waiting for us. Receptionist were friendly. So far services were good. This is our 2nd time booking this chalet. This time, we take 1 Queen Bed Room + 1 Bathroom. The room located at 2nd Floor. Our first impression is not that great. Room is spacey enough and clean. They also provide toiletries. But we having issue with light and plug point malfuction. At our room also, water from outside enter to our room. But its not in large quantity. You will find it uncomfortable. Please be careful with monkeys, we notice that they eating all rubbish inside bin. And also 2nd floor is quite scary. U can see large trees and jungle at the back. If you have a choice. Choose the one at Ground Level and 1st Floor. Nipah Bay Villa located at Teluk Nipah. Easy for you to find food. Either morning, afternoon, evening and night. They also have Duty Free shop nearby (But I not recommending). If you are interested to rent a bike, they also have (Rm40 for a scooter come with 2 helmets with deposit of rm50). If you want to join island hopping also they have package (Rm100 for 3 pax, friendly guide and team). Overall for my staycation here, I definitely will come again here. Forget to mention, they also have free breakfast buffet serve in the morning. Make sure you include with your reservation. Portion is big and the food is good. If you bring your child, they have smaltl indoor pool for kids. For me is acceptable. The cleaniness also good. Thank you for having us. And keep up the good effort. See u again...
Read moreVery lovely resort like facility with bungalows and a lovely pool.
The rooms are clean and have a standard size & equipment. There is 24/7 staff on site, though some of them are talkative and others rather not.
There's a lot of seating space all over which is very lovely to sit down anytime. The swimming pool has a roof and is nicely refreshing on hot days. That's about it for the "specialties"
Unfortunately, the wifi stopped working the second day we were there and did not get fixed until the end. Didn't really seem to be a big deal for the staff.
Moreover, we booked online and were promised "free breakfast included", however, when we got there nobody knew about it and they meant to tell us that's a booking issue (though we even paid more for breakfast) As it was Ramadan, there was not even food on-site. The owner was very friendly though and provided us with some simple breakfast at least the first morning and gave us some mangos for later.
Overall, a great stay if you get it as a deal. Surely there are better alternatives for a...
