Pangkor Island lies just off the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It’s known for beaches like Teluk Nipah, Coral Bay and Pasir Giam, which connects to coral-ringed Giam Island at low tide. Dating back to 1670, the ruined Dutch Fort demonstrates the island’s strategic colonial importance. Nearby, the Sacred Rock is inscribed with the Dutch East India Company symbol and a picture of a tiger carrying away a child.

Very quite in general it's worth it, the receptionist was very helpful, the location is very peaceful, listening birds singing in the morning will make your day even better Only one downside, is that one of the staff uses the leaf blower in the morning which ruins the quietness of the place. It would be better to use after 0900 Am at least

The staff is very friendly and he will guide us on what to do on the island, for this price the room is extremely clean and the location is very strategic, only 5 minutes walking distance to beach and food stalls, The place is very calm and quiet environment.

When we arrived at Pangkor Waterfall Beach Resort, we were greeted by Kim and her husband, a friendly couple who own the hotel. They were so warm and welcoming, not only in checking us in and showing us our room, but in explaining the roads and sights about the island (i.e. Fu Lin Kong Temple, The Dutch Fort, The Floating Mosque, etc.). We had such lovely conversations with Kim each time we returned from a day out, and wish her and her family a very Happy Chinese New Year. ||||The location of the hotel is a short walk from the waterfront, which was pleasant because it is tucked away from the sounds of the main road; motorcycles, food vendors, and karaoke. ||||Our room was very comfortable, clean and cool with air-conditioning. We were happy for the set of towels, soap bars, blackout curtains and a private laundry line for hanging our wet swimsuits. Each afternoon, we very much enjoyed a set of chairs on a little terrace just outside our door, for reading and watching the sun go down and the hornbills flap about trees.||||Sadly, we did not have meals at the hotel, but learned from our neighbours that the chef's creations were so tasty that they ate there each day of their stay. This is perhaps the only "complaint" we have, although perhaps more of a suggestion, because we and other guests would surely dine at the hotel if it were said or shown somewhere that the kitchen was open. There is no menu, announcement or advertisement of dinner, but we hear that the chef surprises you with whatever he makes on the day! We will remember for next time, as we will surely return for another...

If you wash your clothes you will get them even dirtier back. There were big brown spots in my new pants, when asked what happened or if they could get it out they did not seem to care. So do not wash there!|2. The name implies it is a resort near the beach. Also untrue, it consists of chalets on a 15 minute walk of the beach. This is not the worst but the name should be consistent with what it is.|3. When asked if they could arrange a transfer for us, they replied they would fix it. The day after the cab was already 10 minutes to late, when asked about it it turned out they did not call beforehand. Of course the cab came after another 10 minutes making sure we missed our boat and bus transfer.||Conclusion: do not go here, there are way...

This hotel was a great find and we really enjoyed our stay there.||The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is about 100m from the main road which is actually perfect as it is so quiet at night but still very easily accessible to the beach, restaurants and night time activities.||The rooms are basic but have good a/c and shower facilities. Our only suggestion would be to have a few other things in the room such as a table or vanity and perhaps a wardrobe to store clothes other than on the door hangers. Apart from that it was a great little place.||Definitely...
