Hotel Damai — Hotel in Perak

Booked this hotel as it was near to an event that I needed to attend. The hotel is easy to locate, it being next to a road ramp of a major road. There are banks (Maybank and CIMB) that serves as reference points. Check in was simple and fairly fuss free. The hotel took more than the stated amount for a 1-night stay (the balance was refunded upon checking out).||||Rooms are basic and don't expect much. It was simple and utilitarian. The bathroom was big and all the facilities work. There is a TV (over the air only) but the biggest attraction was the very strong wifi signal, right into the bedroom. That made all the difference, especially when one needs to check email and messages. Note - there is no lift. So those on the upper floors have to climb. Not friendly for wheel chair, handicapped or old folks.||||Didn't try the eating place as it was closed. Carpark was sufficient and right...

This was our second time renting a room in this hotel. The place was average. The room was slightly old, but waayyyy better than the Parit Buntar Inn. The deluxe room was spacious. It even comes with a small fridge. The washroom had nice set of new tiles, so it was comfortable.||||The hotel do not have a lift, so a bit of problem for old folks. We were surprised that now they comes with a Wifi, nice addition. The rooms usually sold out during raya eve, so make sure to book early.||||Another thing for those that familiar with the area, this hotel got a few nice shortcuts (distance wise a bit longer) that you can skip that massive traffic jam in front of the Petronas station. So you don't have to waste your time in that boring traffic jam.||||The rooms are made everyday by the housekeeping. Seems like there is no option whether you want it to be left undisturbed or not if you are staying...

The place is at a very good location, peaceful and quiet in pari bunta, it is under the bridge tough which cuts a few points, but other then that it has a couple of resturants around and peaceful, the best thing is they are opening Ayam Penyet AP outlet there, if you tried that in selangor and KL its really finger licking good, so that will add really good value for the customers.
