This new hotel needs lots and lots of improvement. There is a concierge counter but there is no bell boy to help you carry your luggages, you will need to offload your luggages from your car into lobby by yourself before proceed to park your car at the basement. Their receptionists are very friendly and helpful which is a plus point. The interior design of front desk area, lobby and business/work station are very chick and modern, another plus point. Buffet breakfast is not worth RM47 as their food variety are very limited, porridge was very diluted and cold, nasi lemak was cold, curry/rendang chicken was cold, white rice was cold, almost every food meant to be served hot was served cold. Also there were no labelling on their food, so you just assume from what it looks like. There was no egg station, no fried eggs, no omellete, no sunny side up, no over easy. Many tables were left unclean with no sign of waiter/waitress around. Very limited staff working. Room was nice and cosy with chick interior design, it comes with 55" tv with local and international program channels. Need to be careful with their wardrobe as the cabinet door handle has very sharp metal edges, will easily cut your hand or fingers if not careful. Bathroom shower was great as their water pressure was very powerful. I suffered neck and shoulder pain from sleeping on their tall and hard pillows which were extremely uncomfortable, it's not hotel standard pillows which are supposed to be soft and fluffy. Bedroom floor carpet are very dirty, I don't think they ever vacuum their rooms. Most disappointing was their room make-up service. Before leaving hotel for work, already informed receptionist to send housekeeping up to makeup my room but when I came back in the evening, my room was in the same original state as I left in the morning. So before I went out for dinner, I told the receptionist again to send someone up to makeup my room, and when I came back, happy to see my room was clean and bed was done. But they didn't replenish my bath towels, didn't replenish floor towel, didn't replenish toilet rolls, don't have hand towels, didn't replenish bath gel, shampoo and shower cap, didn't replenish complimentary water. The only thing replenished was a box of tissue. So, when I requested for the 3rd time to replenish my bathroom and toiletries amenities, they only sent up 2 bath towels and 2 boxes of tissues(which I did not requested). I still need bath gel, shampoo, toilet roll, floor towel, shower cap and hand towel! To be honest, I won't come back to this hotel again for 2 main reasons. First reason is their bad and uncomfortable pillows which were tall and hard and you'll suffer from neck and shoulder pain. Second reason is their bad housekeeping for doing a very poor...

Read moreThis could have been a 5 star review but was let down by the staff. And from reading other reviews I can see we are not the only people to experience such poor service. Firstly, we arrived at about 6pm and approached the counter to check in. Another couple pushed in and started getting served immediately, even though the person behind the desk saw I was there. After 15 minutes of waiting (it took him that long to check the couple in), he finally looked at me blankly and I had to tell him I was there to check in and the couple he had served had just pushed in and he said nothing. He saw us too so I'm not using the 'he didn't see us' excuse. Next, being Accor Plus members, whilst we did get a room upgrade (which to be fair didn't entail much), the person at the desk didn't even bother to tell us where we could redeem our free drinks. When asked, we got another blank stare. The room itself is clean and tidy but so awkward having a sink in the middle of the room. Amenities are hidden in a little draw but there is not much space on the bench in that sense. The hallways are also NOISY! My kids took note of other kids not keeping quiet whilst running up and down the corridor at 9pm... The final nail in the lack of customer service coffin was the delivery of the obligatory Accor Plus member fruit platter... which arrived at almost 9pm, whilst we had the DO NOT DISTURB light on. We had a long day and were all in bed. The interruption was the last straw. Normally for Accor hotels, a welcome letter and a platter of some form is already waiting in the room for us, so clearly they missed the mark here and either tried to make up for it OR they gathered I was unimpressed with being ignored at check in.
Either way, it's such a shame - it's a well appointed hotel in a weird location (it was close to the freeway, hence we chose it) and it completely let down by zero customer service or personality from the staff. I got a more friendly reception from the Grab delivery driver who delivered our...
