Char Kueh Teow and Karipap at @thongkeecafe #glenmarie #malaysia
Simple weekend and easy Saturday is spent at the local favourite hawker cafe. We had the Char Kueh Teow (fried flat rice noodle) and some karipap (curry puff) as snacks. The drinks were Cham Peng ( iced Coffee x Tea mixture) and Milo Peng ( iced chocolate).
The Char Kueh Teow , is a standard or famous local dish. They have the flat rice noodle , stirred fried with soy sauce , fish sauce , chilli sauce , prawns and cockles which is amazing 🤩. We opt out for the taugeh (bean sprouts) because .... we want it raw today !! 🤟
Moving on to the karipap, it’s essentially fried pasty stuffed with curry potato 🥔 and hard boiled egg . It’s a comforting snacks for anytime anyday. The one at here, looks and tasted like the one from IKEA !! But after having a long bite and thought.... it has a stronger pepper 👅 taste. Not that bad 😅.
Cham Peng , where Cham is the direct translation of “Mix” and Peng is “iced”. This is a mixture of coffee, tea and milk. It’s a wonderful drink, be it coffee/tea/milk ...you get the best of them. You can do it at home too ... be adventurous 🧪
Lastly , Milo Peng... which is ice chocolate milk drink. Milo is the brand famous in Malaysia 🇲🇾. Famous for its sweetness content, but we still love it 😊. Just be moderate with it .

The Kuey Teaw Goreng was expertly prepared, with a perfect balance of flavours and textures. The kuey teaw were cooked just right, and the sauce was flavorful without being overpowering. The dish was generously portioned and reasonably priced, making it an excellent value for money.
The coffee at Thong Kee Cafe was also a standout, with a bold and rich flavour that was satisfying and energising. The aroma alone was enough to perk me up, and the taste did not disappoint.
The only drawback of Thong Kee Cafe is that payments are accepted in cash only. No e-wallet or credit/debit card options are available, which can be inconvenient for customers who prefer cashless transactions. However, this is a minor setback that should encourage everyone to enjoy the delicious food and coffee on offer.
I highly recommend Thong Kee Cafe in Glenmarie for authentic local cuisine and coffee. The Kuey Teaw Goreng and coffee are top-notch and very reasonable prices. The cash-only policy may be slightly inconvenient, but the experience...

There are lots of outlet for you to choose wherever the one that close to your area and their food level won't be very different in each outlet.
Besides that, Glenmarie outlet have other stalls inside too that let you to choose. Customer have more variety choices to choose for them.
Overall, is a nice breakfast place for groups of people. They'll provide different food for different people with different taste bud. Although the place is always crowed, but the management of table service is systematic and quite fast.
There will be different queues for dine in and take away too.
I would quite recommend for others to give it a try ...
