This resort is located in a picturesque location with spectacular views. For a late March stay I saw whales almost every day from the resort. Pros: The location is beautiful, views are stunning making for beautiful sunrises and sunsets. About a 10 minute drive to San Juan del Cabo, 30 minutes to Cabo San Lucas The staff is (mostly) very friendly and helpful Rooms are large, but dated and in poor repair The Air Conditioning works well Breakfast was the best meal of the day at the restaurants - the Omelet station was very good Coffee at the Magic Breeze was good Wifi is good and coverage is good (for a daily additional fee) Shower has good water pressure and heats up quickly The small beach area below the adult pool is secluded and beautiful. Not a lot of seating but I brought my towel and just lay on the sand Cons: Check-in was terrible. The person seemed new so I was trying to be patient but they could not answer anything and needed to keep calling over other front desk staff (who were also busy) When I was waiting for my room a somewhat pushy vacation club salesperson tried to get me to come to a presentation. I had to tell him multiple times that I was not interested before he left me alone. The food is poor to average but at NYC prices. There is very little choice for food (some nights offering one option like a bbq of overcooked meat, another was pizza and pasta with no healthy options). I don't mind paying NYC prices for good food, but this was just not good. Drinks are also overpriced and not good quality - 2 negronis were $50USD, a glass of very cheap Chilean Chardonnay was $15 The rooms are very dated, my room had an adjoining door to another room and I could hear everything (Everything!) they did and said next door. The room I was in had a Jacuzzi tub that had hairs in in from the last guest. The chairs in the room were in bad shape and a nail actually tore one of my shirts when I stood up Housekeeping was very patchy, I had to keep calling for water and coffee as they did not replenish those. I also had to call for housekeeping at 4pm one of the days after being out of my room until then. The bathroom floor had staining around the toilet that was very off-putting The adult pool was missing several tiles inside the pool which seemed unsanitary and dangerous To get an Uber you need to go all the way out to the front of the resort (at Westin entrance) - you can get one of the porters to drive you in a golf buggy but it didn't make sense that they couldn't come to the lobby to pick up and drop off The shuttle/airport transfer that the hotel arranged (for $109 USD) was a shared ride. I waited 30 mins at the airport (Ubers were available for about $45 USD in 5 mins - I checked while waiting). My shuttle had 9 people in it and I was the 4th hotel stop so it took almost and hour from the airport (my uber back to the airport was $40 in a private car and took 30 mins). They do let this shuttle in to drop off at the lobby. The setting is wonderful and the multiple levels allow for wonderful views but getting around is a lot of walking on very steep pathways. You can request golf carts but I didn't always have small bills for tip money. This would not be a suitable hotel for people with mobility challenges. Overall, I would go back to Los Cabos tomorrow but not to this resort. It has seen better days. I'm including a photo o the beautiful sunrise from my room and some of the broken chair and dirty tub and floor.

A Tranquil and Memorable Stay at Club Regina, Westin Cabo San Lucas From start to finish, our experience at Club Regina exceeded expectations. The staff was exceptional—attentive, respectful, and gracious—and the accommodations, while slightly dated, provided everything we needed for a restful and rejuvenating vacation. The property is beautifully situated overlooking the sea, offering stunning views that set the tone for a serene getaway. We visited during Thanksgiving week, escaping the hustle and bustle of the States, and found the atmosphere to be wonderfully peaceful. The adult pool areas and private beach were especially delightful, with very few people around, allowing us to fully relax and unwind. Though the resort spans a large area, requiring some walking, this wasn’t an issue for us as a middle-aged couple accustomed to hiking. For those who prefer not to walk, golf carts are readily available through guest services—a service many guests took advantage of. The suite, while not ultra-modern, was comfortable and well-maintained. The kitchen was standard but perfectly sufficient for our needs, especially with a quick grocery run to the nearby Walmart to supplement our cravings. Family members joined us later during our stay, and they also enjoyed the accommodations. The on-site dining options were solid, with food and service ranging from 3 to 5 stars depending on the meal. However, we weren’t there for the food—we came for the relaxation and the adventure. The concierge was incredibly helpful, providing valuable recommendations for local sights and eateries that we wouldn’t have found online. The porters and lobby staff were equally impressive, welcoming us warmly and ensuring that our comings and goings—especially with a rental car—were seamless. Every interaction with the team made us feel like royalty, adding a special touch to our stay. While we’ve stayed at other properties in Cabo, including more luxurious resorts, we would gladly return to Club Regina. The combination of its peaceful location, gracious staff, and simple yet beautiful accommodations made for a truly unforgettable trip. This resort provides exactly what it promises—a tranquil escape with heartfelt service.

Review from a Mexican traveler. Good hotel , staff overwhelmed in some occasions. The hotel is good for the price and fortunately it leans more to a luxury experience, theres a couple of main issues like 1) hidden fees , the biggest one is some kind of hotel tax (the government does not require it) around 15-18 dollars per night depending on the kind of room [do not confuse this with the environmental government tax, that one is just 1-2 dólares per night ] "service charge " or something, not optional. 1a) I don't think the hotel should charge 6 dollars for every day of valet parking and in some instances they charge for the wifi too , some stuff not advertised at the moment of booking online. 2) the restaurant, is good, but no that much , there's 1 mini bar at the lobby, 1 (main) restaurant with regular quality and 1 cafe-ish behind the first pool [Theresa also a mini bar with food on the second set of pools]. 3) staff overwhelmed in some situation , the hotel is kinda large and kinda hard to walk up to the lobby so they use golf carts to move people around , however you can wait up to 15 minutes for one depending on the amount of guest moving, the hotel need more staff and a way to improve the waiting time for a cart 4) Rooms , fortunately this is not that bad the rooms are pretty good and pretty clean HOWEVER the AC makes a horrible noise and some times around 3am something like a water pump starts working, this doesn't happens every night tho THE GOOD 1) Price , no need to explain it, compared to other it's a really good deal 2) it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL, the architecture Barragán/Legorreta is amazing and blends with the environment in an excellent way Overall it's a good hotel to go on a low season Pa: renting a car is a must , if you are staying more than a couple of days you are going to spend more using Uber since the hotel is far away from both cabo cities and they don't allow Uber to pickup guest inside and is like a kilometer from the hotel lobby to the highway so you choose.

This facility is only scored 3 because there were a few things we liked about the location such as the views. We, however will not return to the Raintree Regina Vacation Club location again, nor would we be recommending it to others travelers we share information with on a regular basis.

We arrived after 3pm to a really great view of the hotel on the side of a rocky type of mountain side. The personnel were great at check in to the Raintree Vacation Club. The representative, Andrea, gave us decent information as to the "to do" type of activities in a small packet. She also invited us to a breakfast on Saturday before we were to depart. We found that we were offered $100 dollars, but received something called "RegiDollars" instead. The $100 RegiDollars was worth $87.33. RegiDollars is funny money. The house keeping services were okay most of the time, on at least two days, they forgot face towels. This is a 3 star operation. They did bring flowers to our room on the last day of our stay in the vacation club. We tried the Altura Grill which we enjoyed with our server Angel. He was professional and always patient with us while we were ordering and sampling the menu at random. We did not like the first Mexican buffet and thought it was just a bad day for this restaurant. No taco...no burrito...no enchiladas..? Wait...this is Mexican Buffet Night? Right? The next fiasco, was Grill Night Buffet. This was not good nor as anticipated and the service wasn't five star either. Both the chicken and the beef was undercooked. The barbecue sauce was simply pork and beans sauce with some of the beans sparsely located in the sauce. There was brown gravy served with the meat. Why? This Mexican Buffet Night and the Grill Buffet Night was awful and a complete waste of money. Scoring the restaurant alone, it would get only 1 star or 2 stars at the most for other efforts in meal side items presentation for the buffet. We did stop by the Mini Market to check out the facility. It is small and expensive to try and stock up for a few weeks at this location. In addition, they only have the very basic of items. The transportation operatiion of the front office was pretty good about moving us around the complex. We came to find that walking the area was a great workout. This workout was in lieu of the fact that this vacation club does not have a fitness center on site, but relies on the Westin's fitness center. The Transport vehicles only go as far as the main gate for the Weston and Raintree complex. The last quarter mile walk to the main street to catch a bus is on you. The bus rides are 12 pesos a piece. The adjacent beach is a spectacular for viewing and night sounds, but would literally kill anyone if entering the water for swimming or walking. There is a flag system in place for safety, but we weren't aware of...
