too often we hit a wall of disrespect and luck of communication. Check in: We arrived at 3:30 pm and were told that our room wasn’t ready. It took us just an hour waiting for a room. We have been told that only a handicapped room available but they will call us later when a higher floor regular villa will become available… they never did. Service: Most of the bar and restaurant workers are not looking at you; they would tell you that they don’t speak English if they r not interested in listening. they always look sad with their face down. Some other guests told us they didn’t feel welcomed here either. Often, we would walk into the empty breakfast restaurant and witness two waiters are busy talking and wouldn’t pay attention. Same at the bar in a pool. Older bold guy(at the pool bar) call customer a bad word in Spanish and multiple ppl heard he say “pend**o”. He always look sad and depressed. Status & Food: The biggest disappointment is Marriott Platinum/Titanium guest have NO benefits staying here. No breakfast credit. No room upgrade which is normal for Club properties. It feels like some of the workers here are exhausted, scared, and hate their customers. Prices here are definitely on a higher side. The breakfast buffet has a 32$ per person but you could get two eggs with sausage to split for $18 cuz coffee, juice, milk & pastry included . Coffee is good and pastries are fresh. Breakfast Buffet is good. The Sunday brunch is $42 for adults cuz of free mimosa but they have charge same $42 for each kid as well(NOT right)! Lady at the Mercado shop was complaining I left only 10 pesos in tips. Why would I live tips for bottle of water !!?? But she was very stubborn explaining me that it’s only 25 cents.(it is 50 actually:) and she said that it’s not her job to carry my pizza to my pool chair so you have to wait about 20 min when it’s ready. Rooms: We have purchased two bedroom villa but were given a handicapped room. I was told that if I wait I would get a regular one. The guy at check in said “of course” and gave us a key for a handicapped room. 1538…Most of the room have ocean view but many of them are kinda on a side and do not have good view. Second bedroom doesn’t have a window at all. One East section elevator was broken . The room service is only every other day. Room service is definitely not as good as Hilton mile away but if you dial 0 they will try to fix it. Timeshare presentation will give you $150-200 voucher for your stay. Uber will pick you up at the gate(check point) and cost only $4-9almost everywhere. The Resort is a 2 or 3/5 for a nice location and all good people who do they best. But if you compare to other resorts like Hilton , Marriott, and Westin properties in Mexico, US, Puerto Rico and Hawaii it’s by far the least favorite and for service you get we do not recommend it.

This is our first time in Cabo. We usually go to Cancun but we decided to branch out. We have a Westin time share because we like their beds. Before we got a time share our experience in every resort in Mexico was rock hard beds and sore backs. Westin beds are always great. The pools are always beautiful in temperature, not to chemically and gorgeous. We also like having a kitchen to cook a little breakfast or make a sandwich instead of eating out the times a day. The Good: The food has been excellent. We ordered ceviche by the pool and have eaten at all the restaurants at night and we have had great food every time. Our massages have been really wonderful and we are massage snobs. There is an adult only pool for members that we love because there are beautiful chairs overlooking the Bay that have soft cushions. I have fair skin so i like the ones under the roof so i can enjoy the breeze and view without worrying so much about sunburn. It was fun to watch the waves crash against the rocks from the infinity pools. They had nice pickleball and tennis courts and basketball and a nice 24 hour gym. The less good. The beach by the Westin is not very safe for swimming. We like to bob in the ocean but the waves are dangerous and there are rocks to get smashed on. We went to a very nice public beach "el chileno" about five miles away. Actually it was the cheapest public beach i have seen anywhere in the world. Very nice bathrooms and showers with free parking. I like that the locals get a fancy beach. Kudos Cabo! We also had very nice scuba adventure in Cabo San Lucas. We saw a ray and lots of great fish. But we prefer to have the beach you can swim in right next to the hotel. Also the sand isn't super fine. it doesn't feel sharp or cut your feet. It feels good while you are in the water scrubbing your feet a bit, but not for sand castles. So we have decided for Mexico so far we like Cancun for couples Beach vacation and Playa deñ Carmen when we bring the kids because it's closer to the adventure parks and the beaches are perfect for kids to swim in the ocean and it's is really walkable. So in conclusion, we had a great time in Cabo. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The hotel was lovely. The adventure was really fun, but the weather was really hot. It was 99 degrees Farenheit when we came in September, which is the hurricane season and we got hit by a little rainy hurricane and a tiny earthquake. I don't think it's warm enough for our February getaway so check the weather when you are planning. So depending what you are looking for in a vacation it's could be perfect. Lots of other guests had a great time fishing and caught mahi and sea bass. That's not my thing though.

Beautiful view from the hotel. Rooms were convenient, quiet and mostly clean. Our room didn't have the best view in the hotel but it wasn't terrible. You'll love this resort if you're the type of person that can sit on the beach or at that pool all day every day of your vacation and you usually retire to your room after dinner. The pool is warm and inviting. The beach was kept clean. You'll find some neat spots to go tide pooling and find interesting sea creatures if you like walking. We spent one whole day at the resort's pools and beach which was amazing but it was otherwise very boring in the evening and I recommend finding things to do off the resort. There are so many cool places just a car ride away, and getting an Uber ride for 2-4 people is easy at this resort. You don't have to walk far from the lobby to get to the pick up point. We had our rooms serviced everyday. The spa was decent. I spent 10 minutes in the sauna, and a whole minute in the relaxation room because I found a bunch of ants crawling on the chairs, but the massage was excellent. I would avoid eating at the restaurants inside the hotel (breakfast was meh - the omelette bar was meh; the sports bar said their best dish was the Philly cheese steak - I didn't bother trying it). If you must eat at the resort, try the little spot near the beach. For some reason, it was fresher and tastier when it was ordered from there. I recommend the coconut shrimp and to try the ceviche flight (? -- they couldn't tell us the name of this but said it was different kinds of ceviche) and they brought us several different bowls including tuna, shrimp, prosciutto, fruit and veggie. Nothing wrong with that! You must see Baja Point before the sun goes down. Definitely picture worthy! Food here was decent, you're going more for the view and to sit outside so come here for a couple drinks. You don't need to eat at the restaurant to enjoy the view. The resort really shuts down after dusk, it's quite boring actually, especially if you like having a couple drinks after dinner. Sports bar closes at 11 which has the pool tables. There's live music outside on the patio but not very entertaining. There really isn't anything else to do once the sun goes down. Bring a deck of cards, or try to find them at the shop if you can since they don't offer games in the rooms. The most annoying part of the whole place is the elevators sometimes aren't working, and getting to the lobby from everywhere else in the resort is kind of a pain (especially if your key doesn't work, which happened to me twice). I would stay here again because of the beach and pool, but there are definitely other nice places to stay in Cabo.

DO NOT BOOK WESTIN LOS CABOS! Read what I wrote before making the mistake! •STOLEN MONEY: My Mom and I both were having a massage and my Mom was going to have a pedicure afterwards. There was no communication - just walked you into a locker room. We both got a locker with a key; changed into a robe and we were escorted through the main lobby (where everyone can see you!) and sat in a “relaxing room” - we were then separated into our own massage rooms. When entering I laid my locker key, glasses and phone on the counter and the masseuse covered my eyes for the next 80 minutes. Several times she left the room. I never thought about my key being taken. However, when arriving back to the locker room, my cash money (1) $20 bill and (1) $10 bill were gone from my wallet. I literally had placed this exact amount in my wallet for tips and walked straight to the spa. I paid the tip on the bill and went straight to my room to confirm the money had been taken I then immediately went to the front desk and they called security team member Eduardo, who could not speak English. Eduardo handed me a clipboard and asked me to fill out an incident form. I tried to explain the situation and he called for someone else to come. After telling the complete incident 4x, the head of security, Natalie, came. She listened and let me know she would investigate and she’d get back to me the next day. The next day, they called and spoke to my Mom while i was out at the pool. They told my Mom that they had no way to check the cameras in these areas and that we must of “misplaced” the money because no one had seen it. Of course no one is going to say they took the money!!! I felt completely insulted. I did not misplace $30 while walking straight to the spa from my room inside my wallet. However, they did state they’d apply a $30 credit to our room, which I had to ask for the night before checkout. •SPA SERVICES : which leads me to spa services.... horrible. Terrible. My mom wanted a pedicure since she didn’t have time to get one before coming. The pedicure states 50 minutes. We were the last ones at the spa that night so when we were done with the massages - my mom went to get the pedicure. They literally did her pedicure for 20 minutes. The pedicure was in a rolling tub/panof water - no massage basin. The water wasn’t even circulated for sanitary reasons. They told her that her feet were soft and didn’t need any additional treatments, ended up painting her toes (looked terrible and two toes the polish was gone the next day!) The pedicure was $75!!!! All she did was place her feet in a tub of water and get her toenails painted horribly! $75? We also were told we would get to smell 3 different candles for our massages and choose which ones we wanted. They never asked us. So, when the money situation happened I was upset and was waiting for a response from Natalie. I called the spa services to speak to a manager about how a spa is suppose to be relaxing and enjoyable; however, it was not because of the money that was stolen, the terrible pedicure & etc - we spent over $500 at the spa and had $30 taken from us! So the manager, Karen, listened to my concerns and told me she would get back with me. She said she would feel the same way if it happened to her. However, She didn’t get back with me. Instead she contacted head of security, Natalie and Natalie called back to tell me that when I filled out the incident form for the “stolen money” that i didn’t mention the terrible services! First off, I didn’t even know about the pedicure yet since I went there as soon as I realized my money was stolen and then, secondly, I assumed I needed to speak to the management in the spa regarding dissatisfaction of the spa services; not security? Natalie stated they had given me $30 credit and that would be all. They acted like they had “given” me something when really all they gave me was MY MONEY. She also stated i could “go make a review”; “she didn’t care.” “It was final” ...So, that’s why I’m here I could not post everything since google has a...

The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas is a very nice resort located between San Jose and downtown Cabo. The property is very spacious and has amazing ocean views. This was our first trip to Cabo, and we really enjoyed the resort and visiting both downtown areas. The resort is about 25-minutes from downtown Cabo and San Jose, so if you don't have a rental car, you can easily grab an Uber. Below a list of pros and cons of the Resort:||Pros |- The resort is very well maintained, however there was some construction projects going on during the day. They did not interfere with our enjoyment of the adult pool area.|- The staff are incredibly accommodating and took great care of us. From David who made sure we had everything we needed at the pool, to Alicia and Sebastian who ran the various events and were both my Pickleball partners through the week.|- The 2-bedroom villa we had was spacious, modern, and well appointed. Plenty of hot water in the showers, and the master has its own balcony, plus one in the family room.|Wi-Fi was excellent throughout the property, and there is a nice business center if needed.|- We rented a car, and the valet had it ready every time we had called down to head out (I found driving in the area to be very easy, it's a straight shot to downtown Cabo where we visited about 5-times for different activities).|- The restaurants all share the same overall menu which has a good variety of choices, which was fine for us since we went out to dinner several nights.|- There is a market which is well stocked, and we visited the local supermarket Fresko to stock-up when we arrived.|- In the evening the resort is pretty quiet, but we enjoyed watching the World Series at the sports bar, where they also have a few pool and foosball tables.|- My wife enjoyed 2 spa visits with Maria who she said did an excellent job both times. |- For pickleball they have sessions every morning at 9:00 AM with a tournament on Thursday mornings. They provide paddles if you don't have one.|- The staff runs pool activities each day like bingo, Blackjack tournaments, water aerobics, tequila tastings, etc.|- Unlike other Marriott resorts we've stayed at, we never had an issue getting prime seating around the pool area, even though we came down most mornings around 9:30 AM. There are also a whole set of beach chairs on the beach if you prefer that.||Cons||- The resort is quite large, and navigating from the lobby to your room can be a decent walk and a bit confusing. There are ramps in certain areas, but this was an on-going discussion with other guests.|- While there is a nice beach, due to the risk of rip tides, you must sign a waiver if you want to swim in the ocean. You'll want to pick your time carefully, since the waves come crashing in very strongly at times, and there are rock outcroppings you will want to give a wide berth to.||Travel Tip - I typically get local currency from an ATM when traveling. I noticed the service fees at most ATM's were quite high, ranging from $10 - $100 USD depending on how many Pesos you wanted. On our next visit I would request the local currency from our bank since you can always use any leftover Pesos to offset your hotel incidentals when you check-out.||We would certainly visit again, and the end of October had perfect weather all week with no rain and minimal...

Be careful when booking with this hotel and Vistana. I am a Platinum Elite Owner with Vistana. My adventure with the Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas began in April of 2018. My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for 10 nights. It was the worst vacation I have taken. Once arriving we noticed that the hotel was undergoing repair and paint to the exterior right in front of the pool area. We had to endure 10 days of constant pounding and clattering while hanging out at the pool. By the time we were leaving I was more stressed due to the construction than when I arrived. The hotel failed to communicate the construction prior to our arrival. Upon complaining the hotel did comp us four nights during our next stay due to the construction. We took advantage of the free nights during the Martin Luther King Holiday this January. Our troubles continued within a few hours of our arrival. On our first day we returned to our room to find the ice maker in the refrigerator was detached from the freezer and water was pouring out and in the refrigerator. We contained the water the best we could until hotel maintenance arrived to fix the ice maker. We came back to our room later that night to find water had soaked all our food that we bought for our stay early that day. The hotel staff didn’t even attempt to dry or clean up the water mess inside the refrigerator. We had to return to the grocery store a second time to replace the food that was ruined. More wasted vacation time. Wait, things get better. The next day while relaxing on the beach we were informed that we could not use the umbrellas due to the wind. Without the shade it was to hot for us to hang out on the beach. This occurred several times during our stay. Not very relaxing to have to move your location. Upon inspection it was clear that the hotel did not want to expend the additional effort to bolt the umbrella pole to the umbrella beach anchor. One attendant told us if an umbrella blew away and hurt someone we would be responsible. Another relaxing thought. We did speak to the Activities Director about the umbrellas to no avail. Upon our return late in the evening on the second day we found that maid service was not done to our room. Not very fun to waiting an hour while sitting in your room watching maid service being completed. Upon our departure I did speak to Karina about our poor experience. She offered to take a few dollars off our bill. Sorry but her offer was far short in helping with our bad experience and lost time. In addition, Karina accused me of blackmail when I told her I was thinking about writing a review regarding my experience with the hotel. Awesome customer service. I feel like I am the bad guy. I feel sorry for the pool staff especially Pablo and Sobador who provide excellent service. I wasted money and my precious time at the Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas. There are so many better hotels and resorts in Cabo in which...
