Rooftop Da Pietro — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

Is it wrong to not want to share an incredible dining experience, so I can keep this place to myself? LOL I guess so… therefore I will begin by saying, “book a reservation now”! We have been hoping for a great Italian place to open in San Jose del Cabo and now we have one! Take the elevator up to the rooftop and when the doors open it’s so inviting. We were greeted and seated immediately by Asai and Arminda. Both friendly and attentive all night with a great knowledge of the menu. Our starters were the Tártara di Tonno (tuna tartare) and the Cozze Gorgonzola (mussels). The sauce on the mussels was to die for! I think I could just have a double order of that for a meal! I literally took my leftover sauce home, it was that good. For our entrees we had the Risotto Al Funghi, Carpaccio di Manzo and the Spaghetti Della Casa. The risotto had wonderful flavors, the carpaccio was delicate, tender and delicious and the house spaghetti is not your typical spaghetti with a marinara. When the menu has those 3 little peppers next to it, believe it. I will not lie, it is spicy! BUT, it is luscious, silky, packed with flavor and amazing! If you like spicy then I highly recommend the Spaghetti Della Casa. If I had one negative, it would be the noise from the highway. Once the traffic dies down, it does get better. We will definitely be back because I need to bathe in that Gorgonzola sauce! LOL!...

Everything in general was good! I was disappointed and annoyed about a 4 cheese pasta I ordered, it was tasty! thing is I ordered it with an extra portion of protein and they only had skirt steak. The problem was when the bill came, they were charging me like if I had two full dishes and I really only had one, they charged me for a full skirt steak when it clearly wasn't, and there was not a lot of pasta either for the price I was being charged. I was charged $1,100 pesos or almost 70dll for basically two plates, it was only one and it wasn't substantial, so angry about that. When I complained at the end nothing was done...they just charged me. They should've told me it was going to be charged as a full dish so I could decide before they made the dish. everywhere I go you get charged for an extra, not a full dish. Sad to see... so I'm not going back there again and not...

The food was quite good. As it is new they are still adjusting the kitchen and training etc. to get up to standard with the other brand locations. We enjoyed it and recommend it if you're looking for some nice high quality...
