I would not be able to recommend this location. If you have any option to choose some where else, you may want to take the option to go elsewhere.
Tonight, we decided to eat in at the Inizio restaurant and they had a Mexican style buffet night for 395 pesos a person. When we entered the restaurant we saw that they had a decent display of food sides but as we looked closer we realized that they didn't have any chicken featured on any of the displays. My spouse who does not eat beef or pork, did not have a good option. We then thought, where are the tacos or the burrito or enchiladas? This is Mexican Buffet Night, right? The restaurant did not have anything to eat other than the cheese quesadilla and the side items of some type of fish. We were disappointed in the Mexican Buffet Night meal tonight because we thought it would be representative of the regional food items, but it was worse than the fast food restaurants in the USA. The chef, who works here must have been off work because this buffet was terrible. Again, we gave this location another chance after getting a flyer for the Inizio Restaurant for Grill Night Buffet. We noticed they had three warming pots set up outside and a charcoal grill with charcoal setup burning to prepare the meats. Of course, the grill night showed on the flyer that it appeared to be a prime cut of sirloin type meat, but upon arrival it was not. What I got, was actuality appeared to be a quarter inch thin piece of flank steak. The steak had no consistency as steak should be and seemed as if it was intended to be used for soft taco meat. It had been boiled possibly to tenderize the meat. The ribs were cut into two bones per serving, but had pieces of hard bone fragments that had been sheared off into the cooked meat causing me pain by almost breaking a tooth when I was biting the piece of meat. The steak was not cooked enough and was rare to medium, but way too bloody for my idea of safe consumption. Many of the side items were prepared and appeared ready to go, but nothing could help this grilling failure. The "'barbeque" sauce appeared to be a pork and beans type sauce with the beans sparsely appearing in the sauce. There was dark brown gravy along side the pork and beans sauce which was just confusing to us. if this is Grill night, why is there brown gravy being served? The grilled chicken was dry and over cooked or burned at some points to be unable to consume the meat.
This place was not good on any two of the buffet nights we paid for, but the free breakfast we received as a part of the timeshare presentation was very much tolerable and edible. This restaurant was an expensive lesson to learn and an assault on...
Read moreAs an owner of this resort timeshare I am ashamed at this restaurant. The only redeeming factor is the great view. If you can choose another place to eat do it. I only ate here because I had some promotion for a free dinner. I wish I could take the dinner back. Each and every seafood item we had was old, not fresh. We started with Octopus Tostada, old, rubbery, old. Then a beef empanada, doughy, almost no meat, dough was so thick it didn't cook all the way through. My wife and son were unlucky to have ordered their seafood prior to having tasted the octopus. Wife had the seabass, really terrible, like the feeling of going to have food poisoning feeling. Son had the shrimp alfredo, shrimp were old and overcooked, rubbery again. I was waiting to decide so I felt a no go on the seafood after octopus, I choose a mexican staple, Steak Fajitas. Also a terrible idea, the steak was nearly non-existant above the extreme amount of red, green, and yellow bell peppers and onions. What steak there was, overcooked, and cut wrong. What Mexican Chef doesn't know to cut the fajita meat against the grain?!?!?! It was stringy and chewy, non-edible. Now let me tell you about the beans, same beans they serve at breakfast. LITERALLY THE SAME BEANS FROM BREAKFAST, not a new batch cooked for dinner, just slapped on the plate with a huge film of hardened beans from having been left out from breakfast. SO GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!
Now the service. We went on a Sunday at 7:45pm. It still had several families in the restaurant, not quiet at all. For the day and time, ok it was ok, not fast, not slow, but the servers did not write down anything. I ordered a salad with serrano ham as a side item, never received, I also ordered flour tortillas for the fajitas, received corn instead. I was offered chips and salsa, but then told that the chef did not want to make the chips.
This restaurant's terrible service and food were one of the main reasons I spent $500 renting a car this round, so I could get out and eat a decent meal.
Raintree if you are listening, fire every single person at this restaurant from the general manager down and start from scratch. Maybe hire someone from the Koral, every place I have eaten at Koral shops has...
Read moreGreat views of the ocean. The margaritas were good. The food was ok. Generally an Americanized menu. The guacamole and octopus tostada were not bad. I had beef fajitas that were a bit bland and short on peppers and onions. My wife had pasta described also as ok. The kitchen was very slow taking close to an hour to get the main dishes out.
Overall, just ok. You pay for the views. For the quality and service it is over priced. As a hotel guest, you are a bit over a barrel as dining options are limited in the complex and it is not convenient to other options as it generally requires Uber or taxiing 15-20 min to get...
