This was our 1st time staying at a hotel in Mexico. We were spending the weekend with our grandma so we needed a place to stay and unwind. Since we are choice members, we saw that the Sleep Inn in Tijuana was a favorable option. As soon as we arrived, we were cheerfully greeted by the receptionist and staff who helped us with our luggage.
This is a new hotel and we saw that it had no reviews at the time we reserved it, so we were a little unsure of what to expect. But once we arrived we were quite impressed. The hotel is very modern and has a very clean look from the moment you walk in. The room was very clean and neat. This hotel is also close to shopping outlets and places to eat (although I haven't yet to talk about their delicious breakfasts).
Their breakfast options were quite a delight since they had hot fresh Mexican-style food in the big breakfast room.
The staff there were so friendly and professional. Since I struggle a bit with my Spanish, they were so patient and kind to speak to me in English. What blew us away was the fact that this hotel has complimentary shuttle commutes to anywhere we need to go in the town. So after we checked out, the receptionist was so nice that she made sure that a shuttle van was ready for us after we checked out :) From there the shuttle driver Alejandro assisted us in our luggage & took us back to the border. He was very kind and such a good driver that we felt very comfortable (nothing like the taxi cabs we took to get there haha)
I wish I could give this hotel 6 Stars! Thank you guys for treating...
Read moreSleep Inn is a simple and no frills hotel. The bedding is clean and beds/pillows are what you should expect from a 2-3 stars hotel. Good plumbing and very good AC ;) should make your stay very comfortable!
Free breakfast is included, not fancy but you get 3-4 hot ítems plus fruits, yogurt, ok coffee and juices.
This hotel has a parking lot that is monitored by security 24hours. Airport shuttle service is free but is available at first come first serve basis. (When you book at Choice Hotel's web you can request the service, better yet you'll have a better rate for your room if you book directly with Choice. Pay in pesos if you have cc that doesn't charge int'l fees.)
I truely appreciated the positive attitude and how courteous all the hotel staff are at this location!!! I definitely will return again!
P.S. although you are close to MacroPlaza and other shoppings and restaurants but I don't recommend you walk to those places because they are across some extremely busy streets from the hotel, (you can walk to 7-Eleven, Chili's and Churrascaria do Brasil... ). Use ride-share service to get to the plaza!
Also, if you drive, the entrance to the hotel can be easily missed, if you see Farmacia La Más Barata, you want to turn right onto the hotel entrance before the parking lot of the pharmacy! (Unfortunately there...
Read moreI had a very horrible experience. I had seen many great reviews before purchasing the room, which was one of the main reasons I got a room here. To start the place isn’t anything like the pictures shown. There isn’t a lot of parking, therefore, I had to park on the dirt area. Not only that but when I got there the ladies were very rude. They clearly saw me and my family coming in and didn’t welcome us. We waited for about about half an hour until they decided to help us so that we can check in. The most disappointing part was in the room. It was extremely dirty and had no type of hygiene even though there is a pandemic going on. They should take the cleaningness more serious. The entrance to the room and towards the restroom was wet and slippery. My pregnant sister slip and almos fell from how slippery the floor was. On top off that the restroom had a very disgusting smell. The beds sheets were not cleaned AND THERE WERE BED BUGS. Very disappointing, I do not recommend to stay here and I myself will not...
