We tried this place a few weeks ago, the service is really good, the food was a bit hit and missed, the drinks were good, at least the ones we had, we had some MESCALITAS. They start you off with a small cut of beef broth and a chicharron taco, both really good. The appetizers: we ordered the Molcagete de ribeye, which also came with some really crispy tripas (tripes) on a bed of guacamole, we really enjoyed it. The molcagete salsa that was made table side that had some bone marrow added to it was the bomb! Just make sure to tell your server how hot (spicy) you would like it because it can be really hot! The grilled octopus was a bit of a letdown. With some minor tweaking, it could be really good. It just needed to boil a little extra before it went on the grill. It was a bit chewy and tough. We order the big tabla, I think it is called the tabla patron, it was a lot, we were a party of four, and after the appetizers and the rest of the stuff we ate, it was a lot. The ribeye was good, but the New York steak that came with it was really overcooked, we asked for medium wel done (because someone in our party doesn't eat medium done) but the steak was cooked a little longer that should have. We will be back, but we'll try some...
Read moreI was there a couple weeks ago with my wife and her son. There was no parking on site. We had to park across the street. The place was very busy, but we were taken to a table promptly. The service was good. The food is served on plastic plates. The food was just ok. Nothing special. The meat lacked flavor. I wouldn't be opposed to returning if someone else was paying. But, if I had to pay, I would probably look for a different place to try first. I think that based on the reviews that most people really enjoy this restaurant. So go ahead and give it a try. Maybe you will love it. I just don't think it is for me. For the record, I would like to rate this restaurant 3.5 stars, but Google...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. Consome was delicious. The taco de chicharon delicious. Everything else was insipid. We ordered the filet mignon, the ribeye (añejado), chorizo. All meat was ordered medium rare, we got medium or medium well done. The filet came wrapped in bacon. For a supposed steakhouse the waiter didnt know the difference. The meat was tough and dry. Everything was missing seasoning. If you are coming, do yourself a favor and order the tacos... didnt really try the drinks. The place was also very dirty and...
