They say on booking.con they will ask you for an environmental fee upon arrival of 76 mxn peso (what should be around 5 dollars), but they ask you it in dollars asking you for the quadruple of it! 21 dollars they asked me! What is like 352 mxn peso currently! They don’t clean the beds or even the whole bedrooms and bathrooms (you can find makeup on sheets or even belongings other guess have forgotten). First one of the drainages (the shower one) was not absorbing the water I was with my mom and she is and old lady what could cause us fungus or even fall down trying to avoid that dirty water stuck in the shower floor, they changed us of bedroom but the second one was full of mosquitoes we were scared of dengue or yellow fever. And the sheets dirty again… The location is very bad far from the center where there are stores and a bit of security and light! It is vary dangerous, locals suggest to not walk after 7 pm around there, my mom and I were scared of going out. Also, they have like a mafia with some taxi drivers, they ask for unfair amounts of money for rides and if you ask for your own taxi service they stalk you and stalk and attack any person that goes to the hotel to give you a ride! I asked for my own ride and they attacked the driver very wild! I needed to stay in there because I have already paid and if I canceled they wouldn’t return my money… It was the worst experience I have had in an hotel, unfortunately I just took a picture of the problem with the drainage but I hope other people report this bad hotel too. I was scared of someone going to the room to steal our belongings they ask you for they key every time you go out. Dicen en booking.con que te pedirán una tasa medioambiental a tu llegada de 76 mxn pesos (lo que deberían ser unos 5 dólares), pero te la piden en dólares pidiéndote el cuádruple! ¡21 dólares me pidieron!

Good enough place for a short stay. Affordable and very close to major roads. The location is kinda sketchy bc you will be encountering gangsters in the neighborhood, they will ask you for money. If you are not local or speak Spanish, I strongly suggest that you do not walk outside after 6 pm. My only complain is their dirty bed sheets. They’d change it daily but every time it is be stained differently lol

Good A/C room's are cleaned every day sheets changed every day. Roberto on desk very helpful. 10 out of 10 for him. The water wasn't very hot but we didn't complain. On other reviews here they are saying not safe at night but we never experienced any trouble even late at night. Over-all for what we payed for the room wasn't expensive. Would say there again

The other reviews are accurate in terms of there being no hot water. I never had any and got tired of asking. My mum stayed in a room next to me and hers was warm after she asked. I think they have to turn it on every morning. So none at night.||||It's a shame because it lets this place down. The room was lovely, big enough and clean. It was cleaned daily and the staff were great. ||||The location of the hotel is on a backstreet in downtown cancun. Very near the centre (walking distance) , shops, etc and lots of street food places, minimarts and the bus station. Also near a really nice vegan cafe as cancun is not really vegan friendly. ||||There was one local bar we went to only once. (oasis) There is no nightlife nearby at all. The "piano bar" that is round the corner is actually a table dancing / gentleman's club which myself and my mum were denied entry to. We just wanted a bar with music but this could not be found anywhere near where we stayed. Maybe we came in a quiet month. ||||There didn't seem to be many tourists but maybe that is because its February. The locals did not speak much English, we struggled with local eateries as we know no Spanish but I know we should not expect everyone to speak English. The lady at the vegan cafe was very helpful though. ||||The restaurant was good, the staff did not speak much English but there was a good variety of food. We only ate there a couple of times and the prices were OK. There was no bar at the hotel just the restaurant. There is a bar there but the room was empty, again it may just be because it is not the summer / busy season. ||||||The nearest beach is a taxi ride away and the hotel zone where the more picturesque beaches are were a bus ride away which is very cheap. The taxi prices fluctuated but there was always one outside the hotel. Please note that when we got picked up from the airport the driver did not k ow where the hotel was and a lot of the local taxi drivers did not know either. ||||I know this is a long review but hopefully it will help someone who needs to decide. If you want a cheap quiet place to stay and you're not visiting cancun for the nightlife then this is fine. If you want to party, drink in the evening then stay in an all inclusive in the hotel zone. ||||The pool is very small but cleaned daily. ||||The WiFi is was fine for simple things and better than nothing. ||||And there's a...

Our taxi driver couldn't even find the hotel, people in the area that he stopped to ask had never even heard of it. It's down a very dark ally with no street lights in the middle of a neighborhood that looked like it had been hit by a bomb. Right next door is a club or maybe even a prostitution place of some kind?

The hotel is right across the street from some old run down apartments that seemed to be old garages converted into apartments. The apartments didn't even have doors and you could see into the people's homes. There were several stray dogs on the street out front. It was something out of a horror film.

It was 90 degrees and the hotel had a very poor swamp cooler. It was maybe 82 in the hotel and if youve ever been to cancun you know it's ungoldy humid. About 89% humidity that day, outside and INSIDE the hotel.

Our room was appalling. Absolutely filthy!! There was no bedskirts on the beds so you just saw mattresses and the corners of the room had never been cleaned. Flickering lights. There were spider webs, the sink was rusted and the shower was rusted and moldy. Bathroom smelled like a sewer. The drain was filled with hair and sludge. There was no hot water!! PLEAE SEE PHOTOS!

As soon as we arrived we knew we couldn't stay there, it wasn't safe at all. In fact the man out front told us not to walk down the street "this area is not safe for americans".

We didnt have international calling so we tried to use the phone in our hotel to find a way out. Turns out there is no line, the front desk man said that was normal. I have no idea why they would put phones in the room if you couldn't call from them?? You couldnt even dial zero for the front desk. So we tried to get on the internet but there was no wifi. He pointed us to an old computer that we could use with dial up. It wouldnt connect so we were literally stuck there!!! Luckily we ended up getting through to our phone carrier and having global calling added to our line so we could get a cab and get the hell out of there before we were shot.

We were never refunded so ended up paying for 5 nights at the hotel and still had to pay for 5 nights at our new hotel. Worst experience of my life. Ive never felt so unsafe and disgusted.

Do yourself a favor and stay very far away from...

So many problems.||1 - “The internet works about 30% of the time” (this is a DIRECT quote from the guy who checked us in!). When I finally did get the internet to work, it took forever to load, which was impossible to use for work. When we discussed it with the manager, she said “there are bars, so it works”...even though she was literally standing there watching my ipad NOT load a website!! I am an independent contractor and need to do business on the road; it was impossible to do here, even though they advertised wifi. ||2 - Upon arrival, I went to take a shower and there was no hot water! The employee at the front desk said to run it for 10 minutes to let it warm up...it never did. I was exhausted from traveling, so did a quick rinse with the cold water and called it a night. The following day, spoke to them about it again and they said they would get someone “on it” right away. We left for the day. When we came back, it still wasn’t hot, but it was warm-ish. Enough not to freeze when taking a shower. I spoke to them again the following morning and he said “it’s because of where you are located in the building; the boiler is on the other side”...WHAT?!!! So, on the third day, I had to pack up all my stuff and move to the 3rd floor and down the hall, to be closer to the boiler!||3 - The first morning, for breakfast, I got yogurt and fruit...I found a piece of plastic in my granola! I showed the waiter and he shrugged his shoulders and brought the bill! ||4 - In a very bad part of town - not safe to go out at night.||5 - Manager extremely unhelpful. When I explained all of our troubles, she just kept repeating “there are no refunds”. Then, she offered to sell me a discounted ticket to their beach club for all of our troubles!! Hahaha, what a joke. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and dishonest advertising. ||||Pros:||Mario tried to be helpful, unfortunately he couldn't because nothing worked. He was very apologetic, but there was nothing...
