City Express by Marriott Torreón — Hotel in Coahuila

I am not happy with this stay. It is the first time I stay at this location and I have several complains: *The A/C did not work, but the third day was just awful. Very hot! *The phone did not have a cord, I used my own phone to call reception and they would not answer. Ended up going in person. *No towels in the third day, had to request twice to finally get them (until 9:45pm!) *But the worst part- The hotel website description states it has a mini fridge, both rooms I booked had no fridge. I asked the receptionist and she said she would hold my things in their fridge. I stay there for 3 days. I am originally from Torreon and wanted to take some food to my relatives that have not been to Torreon for years. Today I checked out and the bag of food I gave them yesterday was not cold, which means everything is now spoiled. I wish they would have told me they could not refrigerate my items so I would have put them in my cooler with ice. Or I would just go find another hotel with a fridge after checking in on the first day and asked them about the fridge. This is just ridiculous, I love Marriot to the point that I am an ambassador elite member, but this hotel stay was a complete...

Se hace reservación por booking.com y sus redirecciones, todo bien hasta ahí, en la reservación hay un espacio para solicitudes especiales (se solicita solamente tarjeta simple de bienvenida con el nombre de los huéspedes dentro de la habitación) El hotel confirma la solicitud especial indicando que no hay problema, que se realizará.

Al llegar, no teníamos habitación asignada, por consecuencia no había tarjeta de bienvenida (no hay problema). El vigilante justo cruzando la puerta, con su respectiva mesita, termómetro y gel, nos da las buenas noches y no solicita toma de temperatura ni gel (nos acercamos por protocolo

El cajón de estacionamiento súper cerca del lobby, excelente por ese lado. (Booking ofreció casilla para solicitar estacionamiento privado, se selecciono y pues no había).

No tome la precaución de revisar las medidas del cuarto que reserve.. está muy muy pequeño pero asumo mi responsabilidad por eso. Fue reserva rápida.

Al ver que somos 2 personas se nos entrega una sola llave, solicite la segunda y con mucho gusto me la dieron.

Llegando a la habitación.

No hay luz de techo, solo la de la entrada y las lámparas con encendido individual, uno entra buscando apagador de pared y no hay más que uno al abrir la puerta y solo enciende la luz de la entrada, así que uno entra manoteando en todas las paredes y nada 🤡

CAMA: Dura como la cuesta enero, no es un problema pero no para todos es cómoda. Había 1 solo juego de almohadas (la reservación se hizo para 2 personas).

CLOSET: Escencial y solo el tamaño necesario

TV: Algo chueca, pero afortunadamente se podía enderezar y la enderezamos.

AIRE ACONDICIONADO: El rotor que hace salir el el aire toda la noche estuvo tic, tic, tic, tic, tic... (Hasta este momento 10 am) y creo que tiene una función secreta de rocío de agua tipo abanico de restaurant de mariscos 🤡

BAÑO: (vayan por su café que hay fotos) a)1 solo juego de artículos de limpieza (shampoosito, enjuaguito, jaboncito, que se fueron en la bañada de llegando.

b)La cortina del baño rota. (fotos) c)1 sola toalla d)Se sale el agua de la regadera porque la cortina queda corta (fotos) e)Rastros de no limpiar el espejo desde marzo del 2021 (el vapor lo delata) f)secadora perfecta g)plancha perfecta h)burrito de planchar cansado, está en el piso abajito de su gancho 🤡 cumple su función cuando no lo va sa usar.

TELEFONO: creo que de los 80, pienso que la intención es que sea vintage, sin problema por eso, peeero se necesita adivinarle como marcas a recepción porque tiene botones de acceso directos que marcan ocupado siempre (operadora, wake up, y cancel wake up). Nota mental: operadora es marcando cero.

Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff. Free breakfast which includes your choice of orange juice or milk, cereals, breads and of course scrambled eggs, beans, chips and salsa. It was actually pretty tasty and not a bad choice. ||||The rooms are small and our bedding wasn't exactly picture perfect. The mattress is hard so be prepared. However the rooms are pretty clean...i think they could use a vacuum but other then that no complaints. The bathrooms are clean and good size so you are not turning in circles to take a shower and the water temp was good and hot. ||||Ice machines on the 1st, 3rd and 5th floors. However the view was not that great basically an empty lot with some city background further out. ||||The location is good close the Mall Gallarias...
