Casa de Las Palmas — Hotel in Isla Mujeres

Consistently perfect for a large group! This was our 4th time staying at Casa de Las Palmas in the past 9-years. Each time, we have rented the entire "compound" as we call it and its always been the perfect place to accommodate 16 people! This time, we had 4 couples in the main house, and our adult children and their friends, spouses in the 2 casitas. Each couple had their own private bath, wonderful accommodations and the beds were extremely comfortable! The air conditioning was perfect as well. We spent more time this trip enjoying the compound and the pool! The ocean was directly across the street which made for great scenery. Golf carts were a necessity so our large group could come and go. We were pleasantly surprised at a few new restaurants on this end of the island which made it super nice to stay away from the touristy "day trippers" coming over from Cancun.

One huge plus for this property? Several of them actually. First of all the property manager, Monica has always been a joy to work with and we always find her very accommodating with recommendations on catering, golf carts, restaurants, etc. On this particular trip, we were in need of a caterer. Boy did she come through with Chef Noel! Oh my gosh. We had Noel cater two different dinners for us during the week we were there. The spread was fabulous and the taste was mouthwatering! When staying at this property, it is a must that you take at least one evening and allow Chef Noel to take over the master kitchen and prepare a spread like no other. Very affordable. He was wonderful to work with, cleaned up after everything was done and even had his wife make a wonderful birthday cake for one of our guests! We had drinks and appetizers poolside while he took over the kitchen and worked his culinary wonders!

Next, our cleaning crew. They came 3 times during our week and were cheerful, thorough and very clean. They take pride in their work and it shows! Don't forget to tip them well as they earn every penny by the quality of work they do for you!

For our golf carts we have always used Nacho who works for PRISMA golf carts near the port. Talk about service! He greets you with a huge smile and hug. He has our carts ready and we look forward to seeing his smiling face each time we come to the Island!

Our most recent surprise was the new restaurant next to this property. Just walk a few steps and you can enjoy a wonderful Italian dinner called DeNuccios! You can sit outside on the patio and take in the views and sounds of the ocean. You will be greeted by a wonderful chill dog who loves belly rubs. There is an outside bar as well where we enjoyed cocktails, prosecco, wine and margaritas. Two best bartenders we've had on the island! Inside, you will find a modern small restaurant with windows all around and the smell of baked bread, pasta and all sorts of yumminess! Please note that reservations are HIGHLY recommended. They have been open for 3-years and we enjoyed them so much during our stay.

Lastly a huge thank you to our property owners, Carl and Saundra Usher. You have maintained this property and we can surely see the love you have put into the decor, finishings, outdoor scape, etc. We have a special place in our hearts for Casa de Las Palmas! Until next time!

As a group of 9, this 8 bedroom, 12 bath estate was perfect. The 2 Casitas allowed for space for the group and the pool area is gorgeous. Easy location for a taxi ride golf cart rental. The owner Sandra was a delight to work with. Monica the property manager was helpful too with questions and introduced us to Chef Josafat who catered a beautiful meal one night with a custom menu and cocktails. We highly recommend grabbing breakfast at Mayakita which is just a few doors down with ocean views and swings. Noel the greeter at the house provided excellent recommendations of restaurants and is a taxi driver which allowed for an easy call for rides. We would highly recommend staying here for your...

Casa de Las Palma was perfect for our 4 families! We rented the entire property and each family had a separate space (2 in the casita’s and 2 in the main house separated by 2 sides of the house. Sandra, the owner, was incredible to work with and answered all questions leading up to the vacation.
