The room reeked of all sorts of putrid smells.Even the hotel lobby was disguised with fabuloso. If you have asthma or chemical allergies, give this ppace a miss. You'll spend a bundle on your inhaler trying to get through the day. When we lifted the blanket off the bed, there were hair on rhe pillows and all over the bedsheet, including what looked like * hair, especially on the right side of the bed.The room had scraps of dirt and dust on the side near the restroom. You can smell sewer smell each time you turn the tap which gets especially strong after flushing. The room has the bare minimum from very thin blankets to insulation. You can hear the conversations and smell the powder, medicated oilsor even deodorants other guests had on due to the gap right at the top where the ac unit was located.AC too was a hassle. If you're not 6 foot tall, forget about switching on and off the ac with ease. You'll need some basketball jumping skills for that and your coordination has to be spot on to get the unit to activate or deactivate in a timely fashion.Ladies and children beware walking to and from the lobby to your room. The hallway lights are sensory activated and ineffective. They sometimes do not detect your presence timely enough and long enough. Just imagine checking in alone.Once the sensor goes off, the hallway to your room(hopefully it's not at the end like ours despite booking it because ad says it had street view) is PITCH black,to the point where you would not be able to even see your hands in front of you. This is a major security concern.Someone could be lurking around or hiding behind the pillars to jump you and you'd not know. The staff, except for one elderly man in glasses at the reception, speaks no English.I can speak 7 languages and Spanish is not one of them unfortunately. If this speaks to you, and you are not savvy enough with APPS, then look for another hotel where the security or even porter would be able to just direct you to the lavatory.I had asked for one to another middle aged man by the rostrum, however he had no clue what toilet was.We were there for two nights and was going to stay longer due to the airport security holding on to our 4 bags(which we paid for; another turn off is airport holding your bags for no reason upon arrival), but we changed our minds and just went about our way after the second night.Despite all this, the woman in the reception who checked us in was reluctant to change our room, stating that the hotel was fully booked. She stated that she would do so the next day and would inform her colleague about this so then before 12 noon the next day we should ask her colleague and we'd be given a different room.Neither staff honoured this. My husband speaks fluent Spanish and is Mexican so before anyone says there was a communication breakdown on our end, there wasn't.If you are looking to sleep or rest, this is not the right hotel for you.People closing doors and the sound of water flowing and flushing from the other rooms will definitely be your wake up calls. If you're showing up with your standard crew luggage, forget about it. There are No RAMPS/ slopes from the entrance to the hotel. There's two steps and you WILL need to lift your max 25kg luggage up.If you have osteoarthritis like me and are over fifty like my husband and myself with health issues,DO NOT come before 2pm.There will be NO porter before 2pm to assist you with your luggages. There is NO fridge or even microwave or a kettle as stated in the booking so you can't keep any good snacks for hunger pangs for diabetics and forget about having coffee or a hot drink on the spur. It is one bag of coffee and one set of sugar and creamer with two little stirrers in packs provided by the front desk.Location is ok to get a cab and accessible to shop.I can't remember if this was a three star but it barely made two in my books for the price. No point having pics. You'd have lost your mood by the first few hours. Go and experience...
Read moreLocation is fantastic. Center of everything.|Free valet parking is ultra convenient.|Staff is friendly and helpful.|Price is very reasonable.|Room is spacious and clean.|Good air conditioning keep the room very cool.|7-Eleven mini mart in the same building.|Excellent housekeeping service. Very detail oriented.||| Bed is a thin futon mattress on a solid wooden frame.||No hot water one night.||No English language news TV channel.||Extremely noisy. Absolutely no sound insulation to the outside. ||Floor-to-ceiling glass window covers one entire side of the room. Nice idea on upper floors, but on the second floor this means leaving blinds closed 24 hours a day. Never got to look out the window once. Restaurant 10 meters away had clear view into the room.||Free internet, but rather slow.||Despite shortcomings, I recommend this hotel. The location is perfect. And the valet parking makes everything good. Invisi downtown Guadalajara nothing beats pulling up to inconvenient reserved her and having someone take your car. And it's free.||The room was comfortable, but the bed was not. To me it felt like sleeping on a cheap futon while staying over a college friends house.||One of the things that attracted me to this hotel more pictures of the floor to ceiling windows covering the entire side of the room. If I had it to do again I would demand an upper floor room. Staying on the second floor meant keeping the blinds closed all the time. After all, if the blinds were left open the entire street would have a clear view into the room, especially the restaurant just...
Read morePros: AC is ice cold and can be adjusted to the right temp Great customer service Restaurant downstairs has good food Close to multiple convenience stores Decent location Not too noisy (I asked for a quieter room, so they gave me a room that faces away from the streets) Streets are pretty busy in the evening, so I felt safe. The huge glass wall gives a pretty decent view. Decent value for what it is.
Cons: Water comes out really yellow from the taps and showers, maybe the piping is aged and broken Ventilation in the room was bad, especially from the bathroom. Smells kind of funny and moist in the room (probably because of the water and sewage gas from the drains?) Safe is not bolted down Security is a bit lacking. When I locked myself out of my room, they didn't even ask for ID. I was a bit worried that anyone can get in if they wanted to. Linens had a lot of stains. The shower also had grading issues. Puddles of water after showering. Place appears to be a bit run down, especially compared to the photos. Not completely ghetto by any...
