I stayed here on the night of August 22nd. I was originally scheduled to stay here from the 22nd until the 29th.

First off, let me just start by saying this is the coolest looking hotel I have ever been to. The food was good, they have a glass elevator, the place was clean, and they had security at the entrance.

Unfortunately, they have mosquitos! It was 10:45 p.m., and I had my earplugs in. All of a sudden, I hear, "Buzzzzz," and at first I ignored it, but then it got louder! I jumped out of my bed and tried sleeping in the other one. Just as I'm about to get into the other bed, (see first photo below), I found dried up hair and what looked like lint attached to it. It was disgusting! Five to ten minutes went by, and I could hear mosquitos again. I tried stuffing the holes with toilet paper so that they couldn't get in, (see second photo), which took me at least 30 minutes to do, and I was only able to get about four hours of sleep. I woke up at 5:30 a.m., and I felt as if I couldn't breath since the compartment I was sleeping in lacked oxygen. These were also the hardest beds I have ever slept on. The pillows didn't add much head support, and the hotel cleaner started vacuuming before 7:00 a.m. (*If it wasn't vacuuming, it was something that would've woken you up.) Guests are trying to sleep! On a final note, because there's nothing to keep the water in while you take a shower, it creates a complete mess all over the floor. I also don't know how long the floor is going to hold since it's made out of wood.

I spent $184.00, and I couldn't get a refund. To say that my stay was less than pleasant would be an understatement. I do not recommend this place. Go to the Holiday Inn Express Mexico Reforma instead.

To the hotel owners, here are my suggestions to improve:

  1. Put mosquito nets on the windows.
  2. Put in softer beds and firmer pillows.
  3. Put a barrier between the shower and the bathroom floor so it doesn't make such a mess.
  4. Do not start cleaning before 9:00 a.m. and stop by 10:00 p.m.
  5. Install a concrete floor, or something more solid, in the shower instead of wood. Water will cause the wood to...

The room space can't be called a guest room. it is a corridor leading to two vanities that take you to two low attics over each other|- no windows in the room. Yes, the room has no window at all. there are glass openings overlooking an internal narrow shaft and the floor corridor.|- no hangers or closet for your cloths or any other place to put your clothes. You need to Keep your clothes in your bag|- during the first three days of my stay, there was no wifi in the room. So I had to keep to the reception level to get internet.|- no bed frame, it is a mattress on the floor inside a 1.15 m high attic so you need to creep in and out|- no chairs at all in the room, nor a desk|- No Air-conditioning in the room|- no exhaust fan in the shower. When the place is full of vapor after having a shower, open the shower window, but you'd be seen from the hotel corridors.|- if you've already used the washbasin soap, they don't bring you a new one if you don't ask for|- no bath wash or soap in the shower at all|- water kept running from the washbasin tab after turning off. Nothing happened after i have informed the front desk|- no floor mat to step on after shower, and no slippers|- wash basin tabs are very hard to turn on and off|- the staff at the evening shift had no clue what hospitality attitude looks like. An arrogant boy who enjoys giving instructions to the guest.|- I once went down to the front desk, rang the bell several times, no one was there, then I discovered that the staff was spending sometime on the street, and I had to wait till he can see me waiving my hand to attract his attention.|- for breakfast, you choose between fruits and fried egg. Both options are pre-prepared on plates and brought uncovered on a large tray, passing through corridors, elevator and the garage-street level|- this property should not be classified as a hotel, it was a very big disappointment. This well explains why there terms insist on no refund...

This hotel did not meet our expectations at all. The only positives I can give are that the hotel is in a good location where you are not too far from the airport or from local amenities and sights. There are staff on reception 24 hours a day, and they were very helpful. The room was very clean.||Unfortunately there are many more negatives! I'm not sure how this can be classed as a 5 star hotel, in my opinion. The room itself was clean but trying too hard to be overly fancy. The taps were very difficult to figure out how to use, and the sink taps kept leaking, as well as water from the shower going everywhere. There was no natural air as the window opened to inside the hotel corridors, and there was also no air conditioning. This meant that it was very noisy with a lot of noise from the corridors, and the hotel room doors are very large and heavy so all we could hear was slamming doors. We did not sleep well at all! The door to the bathroom was a sliding piece of wood which gave you no privacy whatsoever. There wi-fi was also terrible, it kept cutting out all the time. The bed itself was comfy but there was some form of plastic sheeting on the underneath side of the mattress protector, which meant that every time you moved it made a load rustling noise.|We'd also paid for breakfast included, but that was really poor. We were given a small plate of fresh fruit with some yoghurt on top, and 2 very small pastries each, plus a cup of orange juice and coffee. Anything else we wanted was extra. The food was lovely but you cannot class a handful of fruit & 2 small pastries as a proper breakfast!|All in all I would definitely not...

This hotel is very nice the decorations are great but I did encounter a few issues. Initially I was assigned a room that had a musty smell , when checking the room we noticed the shower which are just wooden planks had mushroom growth it ACTUALLY FUNGUS MUSHROOMS it was disgusting! The shower features just wodden planks as the floor and ours had nails sticking out of them and we had to be careful not to step on them. We asked for a new room and we were moved but to a smaller room. That whole experience was very uncomfortable. Besides this the beds are really hard, the doors are noisy when closing them and the hotel needs more maintenance in rooms such as light and showers / faucets. No AC. It was very closed and musty we did ask for a fan and were able to get it. Another issue in my opinion is the breakfast offered, you only get two options fruit or eggs which both of them I tried and are nothing special. The only good thing besides the decoration would be the guy that works in the restaurant Jose Luis. He was great ! He gave us a mini tour of the hotel and was amazing.

Never again!! Here's my review of a luxury 4-star hotel: 1. The mattress was new....hard as a rock, wooden board or surgical table. Even the sofa felt softer. * Maintenance came to bring us a yellow pad. We stayed at a $30 hostel previous night & even the floor mattress....which was better. 2. The noise- we could hear people having sex next door & someone's alarm on their phone work me up. 3. The faucet- Don't expect the sink handles to work. They don't.....find this little Silver button here 4. The remote control - don't expect the arrow keys to work...find this little yellow button....then navigate the screen using a wierd arrow. * In total, we called maintenance 3 times. We paid $300 for 2 nights. We decided to leave & stay at an Airbnb for our 2nd night In conclusion, we do not expect a refund of any kind....we were also not allowed to speak the Hotel Manager Mr. Amado directly. Obviously, they have no respect for their guest experience. Please apologies won't work....u can refund the credit card on file.
