We stayed at Meztli Casa Boutique & SPA in February 2024|We thought the hotel was nice, if a bit quirky.||I suggest anyone staying here look it up online first and see what it looks like because there is no indication at all on the outside that this is a hotel. It just looks like a house with number 22 on it.|We were told (via Whatsapp) what the code was to get in, but we couldn't even see the keypad on the door. It is a black digital one and you have to touch it to get the numbers to light up on it. This old man had never see one like that before and struggled with it first time.|There is no reception area in the hotel and I'm not sure why it is called spa because there are no spa facilities as far as I could see.||The room was a bit quirky. It had 2 double beds and a really creaky old wooden floor. It was ok though, clean and comfortable with plenty of storage options. |It had a safe, a fridge and a decent clean shower room|The road outside was a bit noisy until after midnight each night.||The location is great. There is a lovely cafe just over the road that serves good breakfast and is open until late at night. |The Frida Kahlo museum is a few minutes walk away. |The lovely centre of Coyocan is also a few minutes walk away too and the area felt safe to walk around in even after dark.||We got Ubers to go anywhere else in the city and they had no trouble finding this hotel to pick us up or drop us off.||I would stay here again if I were to return to...

NOTES: There is no signage at the front door, just a doorbell! I'll include a photo of the door so you know what to expect.
Breakfast option was not available to us for some reason, you'll want to inquire about this if that's important to you. That said, there are many places advertising breakfast within a few blocks Tres Coyotes was very friendly.
Our room included full plateware, cutlery, wine glasses, corkscrew. There's a grocery and wine store nearby, so you can have a lovely picnic in the guesthouse...
Read moreFound the place not clean with mould in the bathroom, and in quite basic /rundown state - a stretch to call it boutique or spa (I have no idea what the spa services were as they weren’t mentioned/offered).
Also, we was unable to lock the door internally, and since the front of the door look out to a corridor that’s outside, it felt unsafe as people walked past knowing they could get in.
The rooms are right on the pavement meaning quite a bit noise and not a huge amount of privacy.
We also gave the host a precise time we were arriving but found ourselves waiting for 10minutes or so outside the building to be let in.
Otherwise, a good location...
