Pretty average pizza with the slowest, most mediocre service. Centenario 107 is located a bit away from the center of Coyoacan, but it’s close to the Frida Kahlo Museum. On a rainy Saturday evening, we decided to give this popular spot a try. The initial welcome was a bit off, but we were seated on the covered outdoor patio. We had to move tables due to raindrops hitting our table, and from that point on, the service became painfully slow.
We had to flag down a waiter just to get our order taken, despite a couple of waiters standing around, chatting, and not paying attention to the tables. When we finally got a server, he had an indifferent attitude. We ordered half of the Del Huerto and Lilli pizzas, a glass of water, and a mineral water. The mineral water arrived promptly, but the glass of water never showed up.
The pizza, cut into eight slices, was a decent size for two people, but the first few bites were underwhelming. The Lilli side was slightly better, but the Del Huerto side was tasteless and disappointing. By the time we were almost done with our meal, the glass of water still hadn’t arrived, and I had to flag down another server to get it—ridiculous considering the indifferent attitude from the staff.
Getting the bill was another uphill battle, as it took forever. When we finally managed to pay, we encountered another issue: we had to go inside because the card terminal wasn’t working. The restaurant itself was bustling, even in the early evening hours, but the service was disgraceful. The wait for such a mediocre pizza was disappointing, and while the price wasn’t outrageous, the quality certainly...
Read moreAfter visiting Frida Kahlo museum we walked to this place since it had good reviews and it was close by. Once we got there the first thing I saw was someone making pizzas in front and as I walked further inside I was greeted by the hostess and right away we got seated and given the menus. The place is a bit dark and music was playing as if you are at a bar, upbeat tempo and plenty of people talking. The menu is pretty long and it includes plenty of drinks. We ordered a pizza and a few drinks and the drinks got there fast so had a few. Tried the Pinky Warrior pizza and it was better than I expected. It is hard to listen to each other since the music was a bit loud but it was ok. I liked the décor of the place, urban and hip. The server did take some time to come around but I did not mind since I wanted to take my time eating. They do offer Wi-Fi and the password is on your table for you to use. I will definitely stop by again when...
Read moreI visit Centenario 107 almost every time I go to Coyoacán because I love its food, atmosphere, drinks, and prices. It’s a great place to hang out with friends and/or family. I’ve also taken foreigners there and they all seem to like it! This time during the pandemic I decided to order some pizzas for a special lunch with my family on New Year’s Eve. For 3 people we ordered 2 oven-baked pizzas, the Anita salad and the Nutella pizza. The Centenario 107 pizza was amazing! The mix of nuts, hoja Santa, spinach, gorgonzola and mozzarella was perfect and definitely surprised me. I also liked pizza Pablo with mushrooms. Oh and the Nutella pizza with strawberries is definitely a must. I’m glad I was able to eat their food even during the pandemic. If you are in Coyoacán and want to get away of the craziness of the main plaza this is the place to go! Although during normal times it used to be...
