It was a disaster. Do yourself a physical , mental and emotional favour and don't stay there. I wanted to stay in the one apartment they have. So I arrived and everything was very dirty and neglected: it smelled like cat and dog urine, the floor was full of dirt, dirty kitchen overall, the sponge and the wipes haven't been changed for week (or maybe months) and much more. Apparently because of weather and other problems the owner has - but don't offer it if you can't handle it! Also he wasn't even here (but in Spain), and the guy taking care of the place obviously only did the bare minimum and that's how it looks and feels like. After complaining, the guy cleaned for about 10 minutes. I said that won't do it, I want to cancel, leave and have a refund. The owner wanted me to tell him what else needed to be done and I requested a deep clean with actual cleaning utensils (which weren't available at the property either so who knows how and how often they clean). So again, the guy cleaned the floor with bleach and that was it. After me saying again, I want to cancel and have a refund, the ower told me it's not possible for him to cancel. He also tried to gaslight me into believing that the guy did 'so much work now' and that it had to be enough for me to be okay, that it's not fair of me, making himself the victim. I never got a refund by the place, he refuses to approve of the refund with booking and ghosts me.

Edit to the owners response: These are simply lies. I arrived half an hour early and I was told that the apartment was ready. So yes, just reaffirmed everything that's wrong with the place starting...

I don’t know where to start! If you like sleeping in tents (or vans) it’s just awesome!!! The tents are clean and all you need. From the upper terrace you can see the ocean and the campground itself is a very pretty area. It’s true that it’s still under construction but that also means that there’s more to come (like a bar and a restaurant) and it doesn’t bother at all. The bathroom might not be the one with the most privacy but I never had a shower with a better view plus it’s just decorated very lovely. You have to get up a little hill but the colectivos bring you right there plus you have lots of bakeries/restaurants when you walk down plus a pretty walk to the center or the beach. Also Nati and Max (the owners) are such nice people who make the place so cozy and warm! I felt super comfortable, all the guests staying there were awesome as well and I could have stayed so much longer! Hiiiighly recommend this place. I’ll definitely come...

Sleeping in a tent here was so incredibly hot and was also incredibly uncomfortable given they use these very light quilts instead of mattresses in some of the tents. For 700 pesos per night it’s definitely not worth the crappy sleep. I spoke with a few people who felt the same.

I went and spoke to the manager and told them I would move to a different hostel for my second night booking. And it was agreed that my friend who was staying there with her partner, would use my tent in my place, to not be so hot with two people in hers. When she came back at night my tent had been rented to someone else, and they didn’t communicate this with her. So they made x2 money off the very expensive tent. I messaged them and asked them to refund me considering I didn’t use it and neither did my friend but they refused. Photo included is the style of mattress they used, I doubled it over so it was...

Maxim and Nati created a blissful campside on the hill in Mazunte, within walking distance to both San Agustinillo beach and Mazunte beach. Their tents are equipped with matresses and blankets. Excellent price-quality! It’s basic, but all you need for your comfort. I especially enjoyed the open shower with a view on the ocean. And the nightly breeze ensures a good night’s sleep! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a budget friendly stay!
