Tasty, variety, friendly, a bit slow on service but makes up for it with the food.
I was trying to find a different restaurant when I was walking by and saw a sign that said tofu, thought it was just a shop that sells it but turns out it was also a restaurant that served it!
Iāve been here twice now and most likely will be going tomorrow, it has some great options and I have tried all the GF and Vegan things. There are many more items that are Vegan as well that I cannot try due to not having gluten, literally almost everything on the menu can be vegan. Amazing.
My favourites by far would be the Pancakes, the Oatmeal, and the Waffles. To me, they perfected those dishes that tend to be a little sweet, we even asked for them to hold off on the sugars and put and syrups on the side and it was still delicious. They are also very generous with the fruit.
The Hasbrowns and the Quesadilla things where not the best. Hash browns had a strange taste, and the salad with it had chopped up spinach with super long strands of carrot, just making it irritating to eat. I feel like smaller diced carrot strips would be a better choice. The Quesadilla NEEDS a dip, or some sort of vegan cheese, maybe a queso or a cashew mozzarella. It has little to no flavour with-ought, maybe I just got a batch, who knows. The Tofu bacon that comes with it as well is very dry and just tastes like burnt tofu if Iām going to be honest. With a vegan sour cream & salsa the meal would be BANGIN!!
The drinks are good, I tried some cold press juice, smoothies and cacao drink. The smoothies were good, just be prepared as the guava ones have all the guava seeds and it can be irritating to the teeth, like drinking a smoothie with little rocks. The cacao drink was great though, I would just get whichever type but with Soy milk, delicious. Perks me up, as I donāt drink caffeine.
The staff are very helpful and friendly, first dude was super kind, smiley, and happy to have small talk. Great vibes from him. The second day was a girl and she was kind enough to have all of our questions answered, and didnāt seem bothered to ask them to the cooks. I appreciate this a lot, as it helps me feel safe and understood at your restaurant and it helps you, the worker, know your menu even better than you did before.
PS. Heads up for customers, the power sometimes goes out randomly and we had to pay cash since it didnāt come on for the 30 minutes we waited.
Love this place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe best coffee and yummy healthy food in Mazunte. This lovely cafe has lots of bar and table seating, fans to keep you cool, and lovely decor from the rattan furniture to plants all around, so itās very inviting.
The staff is incredibly welcoming and efficient, and the food is fresh and tasty. Great coffee (they also have chai, juices, and incredible smoothies), plus pretty well-priced food options like avocado toast with eggs for only 100 pesos.
They also have the option of adding healthy mushroom doses to their drinks (ie chaga, reishi, etc) and the other side of the restaurant is a mini supermarket that sells their homemade and other local goods.
Run by a lovely international couple, this place caters to expats while keeping the vibe local, so you can drink the water without worry and also just enjoy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuper loved a wonderful dinner experience here⦠every aspect was absolutely excellent. Wonderful host taking time to explain the dishes and drinks⦠nice vibe with chill music⦠deepest artisanal beer menu Iāve seen in Mexico, and the drink menu looked creative⦠and the food was just outstanding⦠I tried three dishes (large tapa size) and every one was exploding with flavor.. creative combinations of ingredients and thoughtful preparation & presentation made each bite a delight. My favorite was the dorado ceviche tostadas. This restaurant is new to the scene (3 weeks as of this writing) and just a few steps out of the central area, but I would highly recommend for anyone interested in a very unique & high quality...
