Hotel Gran Juquila Huatulco — Hotel in Oaxaca

Horrible hotel for international travelers, very nice for Nationals. I was treated disrespectfully and had a difficult time communicating with the hotel staff. The hotel manager runs an extremely clean hotel, however my room was uncomfortable and I had to change rooms 3 times, they still couldn’t get things right. The mini split air conditioner didn’t work properly for all but one day of a 7 day stay. The staff usually were great during the day but useless as soon as the manager left. The manager just sat and stared at the guests most of the time which was terribly uncomfortable when he wasn’t yelling at a staff member. The only plus side of my stay was a sparkling clean pool and high water pressure and hot water after you let the shower run for a while. The worst part other than an comfortable room was no social distancing of other guests and lack of masks also by some of the hotel staff. If you are a National, this place is great for you because you will be treated better and not taken advantage of, if you are an international guest, stay...

Price of the rooms is good, clean, nice pool. Cleaning staff is great. Respected my belongings (our ipads and electronics didn't disappear). Thiscreview is mostly about their poor quality restaurant. Their restaurant's Manager Mr Valdez was unreasonable. The restaurant is supposedly open all day, according to management at the front desks with breakfast until 11:00 am. I came with my young children at 10:15 am for breakfast. He turned us away, because supposedly there wasn't more food and they were closed. There was food still on the buffet trays that I could see. He didn't offer an alternative like a la carte and told us we couldn't eat there. There are no restaurants within walking distance outside. I then saw how he called more than a dozen people, whom I presume to be employees, to eat. People left with plates full of food. An hour later there are people there still eating. I talked to the front desk and a lady walked me back to talk to him and at that point he said he could help by scrambling some eggs for me, nothing else. ...

My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights and we were satisfied with our stay overall.

Pros: Great location, very close to Playa Chahue and walking distance to La Crucesita Reasonable price Very nice pool area Comfort room had a nice size fridge which they stocked with snacks, beer and soft drinks English speaking servers at the restaurant Very clean everywhere
