Fantastic hospitality. The hibiscus fresh water was very tasty. We ordered the baked shrimp to share. They came shelled, so you had to peel them before eating, which would be a deterrent to ordering this dish again as they were covered in sauce and hot from the oven. Also, they only had 3 fish options on their menu (shrimp cocktail, baked fish and baked shrimp) and zero plant based/vegan options. The menu options are very meat based. One thing I appreciated is the menu was both written in Spanish and English, so I had a better idea of what I was ordering and Jorge, our server, spoke English and was able to converse quite well with us. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
4 stars for the menu having limited plant based/vegan options.

Read moreMy husband and I ate at Bladu Yu Restaurant 3x during our recent stay in Huatulco. Hands down this place was our favourite little Mexican Gem by the beach. We were so lucky to have Jorge welcome us each time. He let us sample some of his delicious freshly squeezed juices and he made delicious perfect Margaritas and Pina Coladas. Everything is made fresh there and you can see Jorge squeezing the limes and pineapples. Honestly he kind of dances while he makes them…he’s so entertaining, a true professional who loves what he does. Great service, excellent food and great value. So happy to have found this place and thank you Jorge! We look forward to seeing you...

The food options are mostly not suitable for small kids because either they are too spicy or too fatty, or too sweet. Secondly, the quality of food was way beyond mediocre. The meat was not fresh, and crying, it didn't make it fresh. The ambiance is this: you get a fan to cool you down, but the fan is full of fat and dirt, and cats are waiting for the food remainings.
I'm sorry, but I can't recommend this place, and I truly don't understand the high...
