This is an interesting accommodation in an old building in the historical district. The location is very good, only one block from the Puebla tour buses and the tram and tour bus to Cholula. You can easily walk to the Zocalo and many other tourist sites in Puebla.||||The outside of the building has the street number (612) prominently displayed, but no indication that there is a hostal inside. It only indicates that it is a co-working space for artists. The sign simply says "Workośfera."||||Hostalgia has hostel beds and private rooms, all on the second floor. There is no elevator. I had a private room with a large comfortable king bed, and a kitchenette with a sink and microwave. However, there was nothing else you would normally find in a kitchenette such as a fridge, coffee maker, dishes, cutlery, etc. There was no heater or air conditioner, but I didn't need it. ||||The lighting in the room was good, and there were several outlets to charge your electronics. There was no TV, but there was one in the common area. The WiFi was excellent, one of the best I have had in all of Mexico.||||The private bathroom had a shower and was well-lit. The shower stream was weak, which was just as well, because the water was ice cold. The water in the bathroom and kitchen worked intermittently, and there were a couple times I couldn't flush the toilet or turn on the shower. I don't know if this was a temporary problem or something that happens frequently.||||The private rooms are not serviced, but they will empty your trash and give you clean towels on request. The front desk is staffed 24/7, but they lock the building at 6 PM so you must knock to be let in after that. Staff speak a little English, and are very kind and helpful.||||There is a rooftop terrace, but no seating. I suppose you could take a chair from your room up there, but I didn't.||||I only paid $10 USD for a private room; hostel beds were even cheaper. If you are on a tight budget and don't mind cold showers, I highly recommend...
Read moreHas everything you need. Great location within walking distance to many places, or one block from the bus line. Beds were comfortable and warm. Wifi was excellent. Showers were hot with good water pressure. There is a kitchen on site to cook/store food. The room was large. They provided toiletries. Staff was friendly and ordered pizza and laundry pickup for us. The things you might not like are there is no on site drinking water (there is a store 3 doors down), no closet, and they lock the front door after 6pm, so you need to knock or...
Read moreLarge, comfortable bed and reasonably quiet (quite a bit of street noise during the weekend but it quieted down in the evening). The shower had hot water but it was really low pressure. Great location. One annoyance: they lock the door in the morning and at night fairly early so you have to call and wait a bit for them to come...
