Mistiq Gardens Tulum — Hotel in Quintana Roo

We stayed here for 2.5 weeks and out of the 30+ properties I viewed, we chose this one due to its location, amenities, architecture and overall value.

Mistiq Gardens exceeded my expectations, and I wish I could have stayed longer.

Location: 5 min drive from beach, 5 min drive from Valeta. Taxis are easy to access at the front desk, or you can rent a car.

The property was very beautiful and clean the entire time we stayed.

Amenities: Pools are exactly as shown, and placed so that every room has a view or access to the pool. The pools were always clean. The gym was a decent size and had all of the necessary equipment.

Restaurant: We absolutely loved Garden Bistro. It was a great spot to grab lunch before heading out for the day, a drink and snacks by pool, or dinner with friends. The sunset view is not to be missed, every day is beautiful here.

The quality of food was better than I've ever had at a hotel/resort and I give major props to the chef and waiter. Everything we tried on the menu was cooked to perfection. Both chef and waiter were very attentive to guests and provided excellent service.

Rooms: Depending on where you book (I did airbnb) my place was spotless. We had one of the first floor condos and the floor to ceiling windows let in lots of natural sunlight. The view of lush greenery and pool was beautiful, you can tell the architecture was very well thought out.

Noise was not an issue, despite it being high season at the beginning of my arrival. Very tranquil property.

Security: I felt very safe here. There is someone at the front desk 24/7, and are very helpful if you need anything else.

Stayed at the Mistiq Gardens for 1 entire month. Booked via Airbnb.

Luxurious property equipped with 4 swimmable pools: 3 on the ground floor and 1 on the rooftop.

There is an on-site restaurant on the rooftop with excellent sunset views. Although a limited menu, it was sufficient enough for days when you don’t feel like leaving the property.

Note: There are no other restaurants, cafes or bars in walking distance.

The property is located 10 minutes away from either the town or the beach.

There is also a great air conditioned gym with decent weights and equipment for a solid workout: it has a squat rack; bench press; and dumbbells up to 85lbs.

Although I’ve never utilized it, I’m told the property offers a daily beach shuttle; 11am and 1pm.

Room equipped with: Coffee maker; tv; AC; iron; blow dryer; Hot water; 24/7 security

Concierge office is open daily; responsive staff.

24/7 Security guards at the front, plus additional guards who have an office in the parking garage and do hourly patrols. I felt very safe & secure.

Overall, amazing place to stay… but I recommend getting a scooter.

Unless you want to pay for EXPENSIVE taxis, you CANNOT ago anywhere without having access to a scooter or car! Taxis are readily available outside the property, but each ride is 300...

My boyfriend and I stayed there for 5 nights. We had a wonderful time there. The room was gorgeous! Beautifully decorated, clean, spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. And the windows isolated the sound from the pool really well (we stayed on the 1st floor). The room is equipped with cooking tools and we cooked some nice breakfasts and romantic dinners there, when we were not in the mood for mexican food.

The outdoors was wonderful too. Gorgeous architecture and the pools were really nice. We could always find seats on the sunbeds. The vegetation inside the resort gave a beautiful tropical ambience. The rooftop is also a nice addition. We saw some beautiful sunsets there. However we were not able to try the rooftop pool as there's only 1 sunbed which was always occupied. Some more rooftop pools or sunbeds would be a great addition.

There was also place to park our car right outside the resort. A car is really needed in this area. Avoid bikes or scooter.

The personnel from Mistiq rental was very kind and helpful.

We can't wait for our next vacation in Tulum and we will definitely pick Mistiq as...
