Went with my dad for Father’s Day weekend. It was our first time in Puerto Peñasco and he booked this hotel based off price he said. The grounds have free parking, your vehicle feels safe because there are security monitoring the area even before you enter the parking lot. Like others have said - yes there is a lot of security but if you aren’t doing anything like smoking or bringing glass to the pool, there is no issue. They don’t harass you at all. Yes they are around but it’s better to be able to flag someone down if there were an issue than not be able to find someone. Front staff are friendly.||The restaurant on the property is very nice, the octopus was great and the food isn’t overpriced for the nice view. Live music band (called FRIDA) who covers popular American bands (Tom Petty, Guns n Roses etc) on Friday and Saturday nights. The restaurant was pretty packed for those evenings. ||They are strict about not losing the pool towels but again, it wasn’t an issue to keep track of your towel. The wristband is annoying but it didn’t fall off and it’s pretty water proof. You can’t remove it and put it back on so it’s stuck on you during your stay. ||The room was nice enough. Came with a good size room fridge and microwave. ||The pool area has a make shift pool bar. Their drinks are kind of pricey for the area ($10 for a cocktail). Okay so here is why I wouldn’t stay here again personally: the pools (there are 2, side by side) and jacuzzis (2 hot tubs side by side) were overrun with children. Everywhere. There is no adult pool or adult jacuzzi. I don’t mind kids but they outnumbered adults. If you don’t have kids I wouldn’t come here. It isn’t relaxing at all to layout or even try to use the jacuzzi because kids are jumping in and out of it. So again - if you’re traveling as adults only, pick a different hotel. If you have a ton of kids this is a great place for you to come on a budget. ||All in all I would this place is mediocre, not bad, but I just wouldn’t stay here again. Mostly because of the kids. Also I checked out other hotels on the strip area and there are nicer pools and hot tubs.||Also - we brought a kite and it was great weather for it....

Read moreExcellent beach. Plain clean rooms, good and large bath towels, including beach towels you checkout. Jacuzzi hot tub is always full of young children, a real fiendishly to this hotel and many in Mexico. Hotel has an ocean view and balcony for every room. Rooms are small but adequate and clean. 2 pools are always crowded with large families and screaming children morning until 10pm when it closes. It's loud. All the time. The large families spread out and its hard to find shaded spots unless you get out there by 10am or so. Even so, the adults will infringe on any space around you, play music loudly, and many are drinking themselves silly from ice chests. Don't expect it to be peaceful, it will be loud all day and night. The beautiful beach is right on front of you though, this is a prime location and a long walkable beach morning to night. The beach is the attraction. If you're a family v with young kids, the pools are,, tbe jacuzxis are a bonus babysitter. For the beach, bring some chairs, shade umbrellas, and frozen bottles of water to enjoy the day out there. Staff here is pleasant and good at their jobs. Coffee is provided in the lobby, included. Its safe,, security is onsite. Parking is easy and free. Onsite restaurant has great selection of food and drinks and is quite good, including happy hour. Free wifi is ok,, is not secure though. No extra room fees, just the price you see. Book at their site or phone in. This hotel has good beachfront pricing, and while Is prefer a condo, the markup in those rentals are extraordinary with fee and tax add-ons. not included in listed price. Covid practices...
