I've been going with my family for 3 years, every time we go there are minor things but ALWAYS SOMETHING! See we are Mexican American so when we are in Mexico we speak Spanish, so apparently for Sonoran Sky that is a bad thing! We just went for labor day weekend and will not be going for a 4th time. Again we are pretty friendly and understanding that everyone has hard days at work but this year was worst than other years and we reached our limit. From the moment we checked in they are just rude nit-picking on every little thing including how different you do your signature. Once we received the condo (309), it wasn't the one we reserved. The bedroom didn't have the bunk beds that showed on the pictures, the refrigerator wouldn't get cold and the showers were so hard/hot you had to shower fast. Again, we didn't want to call the front desk because they are so rude so we stuck it out. The first day we go to the pool, the security guard "Marcos" started telling us no ice coolers (even though there were ice coolers next to the pool) according to them only owners can take them because they make the rules. Fine we took the ice cooler back to the condo. Not 10 minutes later another guy tells us you can't have fruit/food in the pool bar, only peanuts and chips, we understood and took it out. 10 minutes after that, the people next to us in the pool are eating and passing food across the pool and nothing happens to them because they are "owners." Fast forward 15 minutes later we have the same peanuts and we move them so they won't get wet, here comes "Marcos" and yells at us telling us "I saw you put a peanut in your mouth" ugh by this time we were so upset! we told him the other security guard told us we could have them there. We called a manager because at that point we felt we were just being focused on and there were people smoking in the pool even though there was a clear sign stating you couldn't in the pool area! We told the guys we were going to adhere to every rule they had for us, but please just to leave us alone I mean we are in vacation we just want to enjoy our time. This guy "Marcos" is so rude and arrogant even after all that he would pass by and checked us to make sure we were not doing anything "bad." We honestly did feel harassed, we will no longer be accepting this behavior from them. If anything if we continue to lease their condos they will continue treating people this way. We will not be staying...
Read moreSonoran sky My family and I stayed at Condo 1104 the purple condominium was a beautiful place and very well decorated. It has everything you need and it's just gorgeous we enjoyed our stay, untill the last day, We checked out around 10:15 and were held like hostage! for over an hour just because staff need it to go over inventory of EVERYTHING!!!!! Literally, over kitchen supplies cups plates utensil sheets towels!! This was horrible this resort does not have a restaurant from MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY so you can imagine how hungry my kids and family were waiting till almost noon! We were told that a beach towel was missing supposedly they are 7 in inventory by the time we were leaving there were only 6!! WHO IN THE WORLD GOES ON A MINI VACATION TO COUNT INVENTORY OF EVERYTHING BEFORE ENJOYING IT?? this is my first time we go through this and is Horrible!! My family and I are in no interest of been held back for a freaking beach towel.. but since it was such a big deal we checked our bags backpacks suitcases gosh it was annoying! Had to pay $30 dollars for a beach towel!! Couldn't find it they kept saying they are supposed to be 7 towels but what do I know, never counted anything on my way in😑. Moral of the story to future guests Make sure you count and check inventory before you get to enjoy. It mite take you 2 sweet hrs! Do not leave childrens unattended on balcony, rail is loose. Do not drink tap water! Mattresses are extremely hard "bummer". There is no spices at all in case you would like to cook..(I've experience different in other resort's) 80% of the time front desk will not answer the phone so if you need anything like where to take the garbage or get a refill for the water dispenser. You will have to go downstairs your self.
To The Owner of this Condominium It will be nice if you stated a little note board on the frigde with some notes like *dont leave towels in the pool area otherwise you will be charge!! What things need to be clean or what not Or how about MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUT EARLY ENOUGH BECAUSE STAFF WILL GO Through INVENTORY So here are some granola bars for the...
Read moreThe 15 floor resort is very clean and the two bedroom condo we rented was spacious with a wonderful ocean facing balcony. The condo was somewhat well equipped with utensils but make sure you bring your own salt and pepper since nothing like that is left in the apartment. Dishwasher and laundry soap is rationed by the maids and there are no beach towels to be found so bring your own. ||The pools are wonderful and the pool side bar is nice but be sure to pay in pesos rather than dollars because the hotel exchange rate is way worse than you’ll get anywhere else (15 pesos to the dollar versus the typical 20). There’s a restaurant and sports bar but finding non-meat options as a vegan is tough. ||The bar plays music throughout the day and even had live music a couple of times. The party noise from the pool well past midnight can be annoying if you want to sleep and expect the dulcet fog horn like voice of the lady selling burritos and tamales to echo around the complex starting at 7am as she stands on the beach yelling at the resort about her wares. ||Taxi rides into town seem to run expensive compared to other parts of Mexico too and, again, ask for the price in pesos rather than dollars to avoid overpaying. We were told by a local that the taxi should only charge US$5 per person but that wasn’t our experience with multiple taxi drivers. ||The beach is a solid boon to the location and ideal for sailing, paddleboarding, or jet skiing. The ocean is beautifully clear here too but there are warning signs about sting rays being around. ||Overall, this was a nice resort but overpriced and the town has less of an authentic Mexican feel than other...
