Let me start off by saying this the best thing about the place is the scenery other than that nothing else, bought breakfast here downstairs and let me say the pancakes were burnt and there was no taste to the food at all even the eggs were scrambled over done. To top it off room service came to clean the room when we left and there was candy on my table came back it was gone as if they ate it sounds so small but if they will take candy what else what would they take, I was already skeptical about the 150 dollar damage deposit especially when I notice on the site people complaint about extra charges being added to their credit card when they left so I’m have to make sure I pay close attention to that especially being a tourist I do feel this place is over priced and yes whoever cleaned the room did snoop through our things I noticed because I always set traps when I go to places like this just because of that pay close attention to your credit card I will be making a video when I leave of the room just like I did when I entered and yes it’s over priced glad we didn’t pay for the extra day tried to charge 300 when we paid 465 for 2 days which was already high when we paid 240 for 2 nights before and do not eat from the phase 1 restaurant the food is horrible beyond I gave them a try later that night for some tortilla soup and it was worse than cafeteria soup over all stay here just sucked I will never return at least on my dime and this is a honest review they didn’t even rectify anything especially after house keeping stole out my room stay away from this place and watch everything if you do go even your...

It’s a 1 for me. *This review has no reflection towards the service. The staff were friendly and professional *

The price gouging at this resort seems excessive and quite ridiculous. Entrees and appetizers are double or even triple the price of what you’d normally pay at an American resort. The food was rather cold. We ordered grilled steak tacos and the steak did not taste grilled. It was similar to boiled meat and had a chewy texture. No flavor what so ever, very bland. The salsa and guacamole were good though. Portions were small for the price and were NOT authentic!! Lastly, the meat and tortillas were pretty greasy.

Atmosphere was completely dead. Nobody was eating here, despite the resort being packed for Fall break. That should’ve been a red flag for us but we were so hungry and didn’t feel like walking to Maria’s or waiting for room service.

Overall, way too expensive. Citron, if you want more customers, lower your prices!!! Make your menu more authentic! People go to Mexico to eat authentic, savory foods that should...

This place was the worst food ever. Paid about $40 for an extremely thin chicken breast with a spinach sauce which was salted to high hell. Also was disappointed with the Bolognese lasagna. Portion was way too small. The most depressing part was the lack of presentation for the food. They came in styrofoam take-out trays!!! This place tries to present itself as some kind of high end resort but so far it's seriously lacking. I've had room service in other places but this is sub-standard food and presentation. To finish it off, on my lasagna there was a piece of plastic from the microwave film the food probably came in before they reheated the meal. Yes...microwave...I know my food. The lasagna was microwaved by the texture it had from when it heated up. Especially the bottom piece of the lasagna. When microwaved it develops a certain texture which only happens when you nuke it. Citron Fine Cuisine at Las Palomas.....you certainly disappointed. We would have been better off eating gas...

Blah. I'll give them props for the beets. The steak was lame and I couldn't finish it. Asked for rare, got tough steak. Likely that it was a bad cut because parts looks rare but I couldn't chew through it. Taste was lacking. Drinks were alright. Staff were a little too on edge. Seemed like they thought I was going to walk out with my girlfriend without paying. It was quite strange. My girlfriend liked her dish. Can't remember what it was. By the picture it was covered in cheese. With the amount of money coming into Las Palomas I was surprised they couldn't get high end chefs anywhere. People pay a lot to be there. I live in Puerto Vallarta Mexico and it's some of the best food in the world. I feel like Americans get a bad impression of food from Puerto Peñasco.
