Hotel Astur — Hotel in Veracruz

Hi, I been traveling back and forth for business into the Veracruz area. I did not realize that the Astur hotel has not received any comments until now. The company I work for books our rooms there and they are great. Sometimes I get a suite and I its too bad I am not staying longer but just the regular rooms are big enough with a huge bathroom. The hotel is always clean and well maintained. Definately is sure bet if you are planning either a long or short stay in the area. For my International fellows, the suites are like a Residence Inn kind of room with kitchen and everything. The regular rooms are like a Fairlfield room. Dont hesitate. It also has a nice pool area next to the beach. If you like to jog, you can jog outside on the Malecon, its pretty safe, a lot of people do it in the mornings and in the evenings. If you hit it early, you can even catch the sunrise on the coast. Nice location. Restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. My recommendation are either the Spanish Restaurant or the Hot Wings place in front...

It has a nice view of the ocean. It’s located on a Main Street, stores are nearby. There’s Air conditioner, hair dryer, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap bars, lotion. They clean the room everyday if you don’t leave the sign outside. There’s a fridge, a closet with iron and ironing board, hangers (not removable). A closet for the tv, two water bottles. A desk for work. There’s a sliding door to the balcony.

Had to change rooms since they’re not soundproof. Connecting rooms could hear each other through the door. As I entered the room I noticed the noise and went back to the lobby to change rooms. The staff helped, not very happy about it, she had a rough night with the printer and was complaining and grumpy. Second room had a leak either from the fridge or the bathroom. Took a picture of the water spill. Overall looked clean. The restroom vent was not strong enough to handle the humidity though. If the AC is off, it gets stuffy and the waves of the ocean...

I visit this hotel with my family weeks ago and I can say that is a very good opción for travelers looking for good price, confort, frendly enviroment and waking distance for a swiming beach. Big rooms, big bathroom, nice and clean, nice amenities, coffe, fredge, confortable beds, nice pools with jacuzzi and close a good swiming beach. They share restarurant with other hotel attached; in general good atention; I just recomend to talk to some of the waiters, they can improve on attenction to the guest. Is in a very nice part of Boca del Rio, Veracruz, close to big malls and several diferent stores and restaurant, even there is a nice church walking distance.||In general good impresión especially of the front desk frendly atention.
