A Disgusting Den of Despair: Kenzi Tower Hotel's Unsanitary Abyss

Prepare yourself for a horror story that even Stephen King would find difficult to conjure. My recent stay at the Kenzi Tower Hotel in Casablanca was nothing short of a nightmare, with a room so unhygienic and filthy that it defies the boundaries of human decency.

Let's start with the power socket that dangled precariously from the wall like a loose tooth, an electrical hazard waiting to happen. It was a fitting metaphor for the entire room, which seemed to be held together by sheer neglect.

Upon closer inspection, I discovered a mysterious powder substance scattered across one of the surfaces, raising alarming questions about the hotel's commitment to basic cleanliness and guest safety. God only knows what that powder was, and the hotel staff certainly didn't seem concerned enough to provide an explanation.

Dust, the omnipresent companion in this grim tale, clung to every nook and cranny, including the door frames, where it accumulated in thick layers, as though the concept of a cleaning cloth was entirely foreign to the staff. The sofa, once a piece of furniture presumably meant for relaxation, was marred by unsightly stains, rendering it utterly repulsive.

The framework of the air conditioning unit, a vital component in ensuring guest comfort, was so neglected and filthy that it seemed more likely to circulate diseases than cool the room. Stains adorned the glass table like gruesome works of art, while the lampshades were discolored and sticky, leaving me to wonder about the last time they were cleaned, if ever.

As if the room's sorry state wasn't enough, the television screen was veiled in a layer of dust so thick that I had to question if anyone had ever bothered to wipe it clean. The doors of the base cabinets were damaged, adding a touch of dilapidation to the overall ambiance of decay.

And then there was the leather couch, or what used to be a leather couch before it fell victim to a series of bizarre stains that defied explanation. These grotesque marks transformed the once elegant piece of furniture into a monstrosity that I couldn’t bear to look at for long.

To add insult to injury, the staff at Kenzi Tower Hotel (specifically the front office manager) displayed a shocking level of apathy. When I raised my concerns about the room's deplorable condition, I was met with nothing more than a half-hearted apology that felt as genuine as a politician's campaign promise. It was evident that customer satisfaction was not a priority for this establishment.

In conclusion, the Kenzi Tower Hotel in Casablanca is a pitiful excuse for a hospitality establishment. Its rooms are not just dirty; they are a breeding ground for disgust and despair. My advice? Stay far, far away. Your sanity, your health, and your dignity deserve far better than this wretched den of filth...

Skye Bar – A Rooftop Experience with Stunning Views

Last weekend, we visited Skye Bar on the 27th floor to celebrate my brother’s birthday. It turned out to be quite a memorable evening, with some highs and lows worth sharing.

Ambience & Views The standout feature of Skye Bar is undoubtedly its breathtaking views. Perched high above the city, it offers a sweeping panoramic view of Casablanca at night. The city lights shimmer like jewels, creating a mesmerizing backdrop that adds a sense of luxury and grandeur to the atmosphere. Whether you're seated indoors or near the windows, the view alone makes the visit worthwhile.

The bar wasn’t too busy that evening, which worked to our advantage as we managed to secure a spacious table for our group. The dim lighting, combined with the lively yet relaxed vibe, creates an inviting setting perfect for special celebrations or a night out with friends.

Drinks & Music Skye Bar excels at delivering a well-rounded nightlife experience. The cocktails were well-crafted, with a decent selection of spirits and creative blends on offer. Sipping drinks while the DJ spun upbeat tracks was the perfect combination to keep the energy going. The music wasn’t too loud, allowing for conversation while still setting a fun, dynamic tone.

Food & Service Here’s where things were a bit of a letdown. We ordered a club sandwich, which, unfortunately, didn’t live up to the expectations set by the drinks and ambiance. It was rather uninspired – lacking in flavor and presentation. While it wasn’t entirely inedible, it felt like a missed opportunity in a place that otherwise exudes sophistication. Hopefully, the kitchen can refine its menu offerings to match the quality of the overall experience.

Company & Final Thoughts What truly made the evening enjoyable was the company. Even with a less-than-stellar food experience, our group’s laughter, conversations, and the festive vibe kept spirits high. Skye Bar provided the perfect canvas for us to create our own fun.

In summary, Skye Bar is a great spot if you're looking for spectacular views, good drinks, and lively music. If you’re a foodie, you might want to manage your expectations when it comes to the food. Despite that minor hiccup, it remains a solid choice for a night out, particularly for special occasions like birthdays, where the atmosphere and surroundings take center stage.

She made sure all my needs were met and provided personalised service, which made my experience at the spa even more enjoyable. Comfortable Room and Great Location: The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, offering a great view of the city. The hotel’s location is also ideal for exploring Casablanca and is close to key attractions and business districts. Facilities: I thoroughly enjoyed using the gym and swimming pool during my stay. Unfortunately, my experience with this hotel wasn’t great. Location is great, and the staff is friendly. My room was clean and the bathroom was great. However, there was a lack of available power outlets (some were linked with the light switches), so charging 3 devices at night was not possible due to the lack of outlets. The breakfast was okay. Lunch at the restaurant on the top floor was great and reasonably priced. My main criticism is about the hotel not fulfilling the rate’s services. While most of the staff I interacted with are great, there seems to be a lack of knowledge about the Preferred Platinum program, which offers special rates via partner agencies. As I could see on the reservation page, my reservation included: - Daily breakfast for two - 100 USD credit or currency equivalent specified by hotel - room upgrade based on availability at check in - hotel welcome amenity and welcome note from General Manger on behalf of Travel Agency While the breakfast and late check out were granted, I am unsure whether the room was upgraded. Even worse, there was no welcome amenity or greeting card. While I do not mind that too much, the 100 USD F&B Credit were not granted at all. I asked at check in at evening - the receptionist was saying there was no credit visible. I asked again after breakfast - the friendly receptionist called a manager, who didn’t see the credit. Another manager responsible supposedly was in a meeting so I asked her for a callback to the room - which never happened. This is unacceptable for a hotel in that category. After I took my lunch, the staff at the restaurant informed me that it cannot be billed to my room and that I would have to pay for the meal - neither did they know about the F&B Credit. I was charged about 35$ for food which should be included in my rate. The whole experience was rather unpleasant. While I understand that employees cannot see all the rate details, the manager should have solved it in a timely manner. Apart from that, most staff I interacted with were really friendly. This hotel has potential, maybe I was unlucky this time.
