In short: Please AVOID and stay far AWAY from this hotel at all costs. Even if you have absolutely no option of accomation in Casablanca, still don't stay here.
Any hotel is better than this place (even if your travel agent or any other international and reputed agency recommends this place). It's a shame this place is even labeled as 4 stars. As soon as we entered, the main doors led into the nightclub, not the main reception. For the reception, there is a small side door that leads to the non-air-conditioned reception area, and when we reached, during peak check-in time, there was NO one at the reception. Later, when someone arrived, despite already paying for an extra bed before arrival (They DON'T respond to emails or phone calls) they argued that we hadn't paid. After calling yet another of their staff, they finally agreed to this and gave us a suite.
As we went up one of the elevators wasn't working and renovation was taking place on several floors of the hotel, resulting in the pool, spa, and fitness centre areas being closed/unusable.
While one of the two lifts was not working, during several occasions the other operational one's doors didn't close either, resulting in us having to use the stairs from the 4th floor. As we entered the creepy looking 4th floor (most of the hotel was empty, despite the front desk staff FALSELY claiming that there were around 25 guests staying at the hotel). Despite stating the rooms are air conditioned there is NO air condioning or celiling fan in the hotel, resulting in unbearable temperatures throughout the summer (during our visit). There were also NO towels (like not even bath towels!) when we arrived and ZERO bottles of water. Unlike the photos in the hotel's official website, the Mini Fridge wasn't even working let alone it being fully empty. We had to ask for everything and still we didn't recieve any water, hand towel, or bath mat. The front desk guy also falsely PROMISED us a pedestal fan but we didn't get it throughout our stay. Instead we only got one fan for the entire suite. Sleeping was a NIGHTMARE with the music from the downstaris nightclub blasting throughout the night, and shady people spotted after sunset. The hotel is located in an unsafe area with NOTHING touristy nearby, not even ANY restaurants. We didn't feel safe throughout our stay, and avoided going out after sunset. The hotel didn't even have a kettle, and shower wasn't working properly, while bedding was of poor quality, and TV barely had any international channels. There was also no ironing board, concierage/valet/porter service expected from a four star establishment. Breakfast was TORTUOUS with flies roaming and even sitting on the sweets. Juice, fruits, and salad were stale (Don't eat as they could be weeks old since the hotel was practically empty). There was very limited variety of breakfast with, NO hotdish other than eggs and no capucinno or other milk based coffee. There were only packaged patistaries which didn't taste good at all. The hotel has potential but is NEGLECTED poorly run by the management and not at all maintained to the 4 star standards it promises.
Really horrible and ruined our time in Casablanca, please avoid...
Read moreMy cousin and I booked this hotel for 7 nights. From day one, things were already bad – the room wasn’t ready. They gave us a temporary room and said our actual room would be ready the next day. We accepted it and were given a dark room with a broken bathroom lock and no towels… etc. But we had no choice, so we spent the night there. In the middle of the night, I woke up and saw someone standing at the door of our room – someone entered our room at 2 AM!!! My cousin was sleeping, and I grabbed my phone, turned on the flashlight, and walked toward the door, saying “hello,” and the guy who entered just said “Housekeeping??” He didn’t even apologize or say anything. Why is housekeeping entering a room at 2 in the morning? Of course, we complained the next day to the girl at the reception, and she said, “That’s NORMAL!!” We said it’s not normal for someone to enter your room at night while you're sleeping. It was a disaster – I was scared to sleep for two nights, thinking someone would come in again… The room was dirty, and the two of us were only given two towels – no hand towels or bath mats. We had to go and ask for towels ourselves, and every time they would say there weren’t any. One time, an older man at reception told me I had to ask housekeeping directly. We also planned to use the spa. When I went there, the woman told me they didn’t have any towels and that I needed to ask at reception. At reception, they had already told us there weren’t any left. In the end, we used the towels from our room and only used the pool. The woman working in the spa had zero friendliness, didn’t understand a single word of English, and acted like we were bothering her. Then, on Wednesday morning, we traveled to Marrakech and came back Thursday evening. We came into the room, desperate to take a shower, and of course – no towels again! They had taken the used towels and didn’t leave clean ones. My cousin went to the reception to complain, and they told her they would bring them in a few minutes. We waited and waited – nobody came. In the end, we had to shower and dry ourselves with our own T-shirts. The next day we went into town, stopped by reception again and complained that no one brought towels the night before as promised. The woman at the desk said she’d send someone right away. I told her I’d wait at reception. She said no need – they’d bring them to the room. Breakfast was very poor, and there was an awful smell coming from the kitchen. Even giving this hotel 1 star is too much. Friendliness – 0. Cleanliness – 0. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid it...
Read moreAT GLANCE: This place is close to the City Center. A bit loud at night time due to clubs below the hotel and the Tram station running next to the hotel, which is within walking distance, accross Radisson Blu hotel. There are many places to eat near.
HOTEL: Friendly check-in service with free Wi-Fi, though it works best at the lobby and breakfast area; however, it fails to have food Wi-Fi service inside the rooms.
ROOM(s): Had to move from the first room due to bathtub having mildew around the edges and it was just disgusting to take a shower and the tub-floor was peeling off. I was impressed with the black marble bathroom, but it sure gave me dreadful feeling of anxiety - gloomy feel. On the other hand, the white marble bathroom had a much pleasant and calming experience.
BREAKFAST AREA: It’s decent for what you need and the variety is just enough for a good morning pick me up and start of your day. The only unpleasant experiences were the amount of small cockroach critters roaming around the breakfast food displays and walls as well as the rancid:spoiled orange juice they had served for the last 2 days until it was definitely noticeable and when I mentioned it to the the staff; they did nothing! Then, I went to the front desk and spoke to someone about the spoiled orange juice; of course, after a few other people complained of the situation to the same breakfast staff member and it was finally taken down and replaced with fresh watermelon juice. 👍🏻
OVERALL: The experience here got better as soon as they changed our rooms and the food was...
