From the moment we arrived, we knew: this riad is something truly special. Tucked away in the middle of nowhere – and yet so tastefully, thoughtfully, and warmly designed that you feel at home right away. The location is perfect: peaceful and remote, but still easy to reach by car and just a few minutes from Aït Ben Haddou.
The riad itself is full of charm and attention to detail – a beautiful blend of Moroccan tradition and modern elegance. Every piece of furniture, every lamp, every cactus on the terrace feels carefully chosen. One of our favorite parts was the rooftop terrace, where you can watch the sunset or sunrise in complete silence. The views over the vast landscape are unforgettable.
Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed super comfortable, and the bathroom had everything we needed: fresh towels, a hairdryer, shower gel, shampoo. We had the small room with a window facing the hallway – the staff let us know in advance, which we appreciated, and it honestly didn’t bother us at all. We felt completely at ease.
One of the biggest highlights was the service. Hassan and his colleague welcomed us with such genuine warmth and care – not the kind of scripted service you often get, but real hospitality from the heart. From the very first moment, we felt seen and truly looked after – like visiting friends who were genuinely happy to have us.
And then came the dinner – and it completely blew us away. Hands down one of the best meals we had in Morocco. Freshly prepared, full of flavor, and made with love. Breakfast the next morning was equally great – generous, well-balanced, and beautifully presented.
All in all, this riad was an absolute gem. For €80 per night for two people including breakfast, you don’t just get a room – you get a feeling of calm, style, and true hospitality.
We wish we had stayed longer – and we can only recommend that anyone passing through makes time for at least one night here. It’s one of those places that truly...

Riad Caravane was everything we had hoped for and more. From check in to checkout it was faultless. It was a hidden gem in the Atlas Mountains and a perfect place to really unwind and relax. The views were spectacular.
Our room was gorgeous, very modern, great shower and hot water pressure, and the bed was heaven. It was so spacious and very clean. You could easily spend a few days chilling out here and slowing life down. The rooftops were very well designed and plenty of areas for all guests. We even enjoyed a game of scrabble in the sun on the rooftop with a bottle of wine.
We stayed here for 5 nights and dined each day at the Riad, the breakfast and dinners were delicious. It was such a warm environment, you became familiar with all staff and guests. It was very intimate. The food was an absolute delight and a great range of local dishes each day.
Riad Caravane was a short walk into the nearest village and also only 15 minutes the Ksar an Ancient village and UNESCO site.
The staff were exceptional from check in, housekeeping to restaurant staff, always loved to have a chat and nothing was too much, a special thank you to everyone at the Riad for the service and very special treatment on my birthday, I was surprised with a beautiful homemade cake and local musicians during dinner.
We definitely recommend Riad Caravane, you won’t be...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights after having stayed in Marrakech for two nights prior. The three hour drive to this magical location was already worth it: you drive over windy roads, snow covered mountains, though deserted, smoke filled, ancient mountain villages - its magical. You arrive at the location and have the feeling you have landed on Mars. Blue sky, red rocks, almost no vegetation - it is so cool!
The Riad is incredibly cozy and was amongst the six hotels we visited the best experience (the others were very mostly very nice too though) Right away the smell of freshly baked bread awaited us when entering. Soft music playing in the background. Tea awaiting you; The staff is very nice and fun to be around.
Since the town is on about 12 hundert meters altitude, it gets pretty chilly during the night. Also, you sleep like a baby. The air is very clean. When the street lights turn off, to get to see space without any light pollution! There are two terraces with nice comfortable furniture. very very nice to chill and have breakfast.
Would definitely visit again !
