We also came with a group that was traveling to Merzouga and the guide was trying to get us to eat at a different restaurant but we looked online and chose this place instead and that was the best decision. Normal prices best food in here. It makes me sad that all the groups are going to that other overpiced tourist trap and this gem with very nice view and food is being overlooked. We left a big tip and we still payed 3 times less than in that other place ( i wont name it but it is very obvious which place it is when you see big groups going there blindly not knowing they will be ripped off for tasteless food). This restaurant is blessed to have the perfect location--right at the walking bridge across from the Ksar, so you can sit before or after hiking into the ancient village. During our long stay here, we pretty much sampled the entire menu, and everything was on point and delicious. They also have several rooms upstairs which we felt lucky to have discovered and stayed in, as again--the views from this place is amazing! Read moreI can’t understand all these positive comments here. The restaurant was totally empty, but we came just because of these comments. We waited 10 mins looking for any waiter. We ordered meat with vegetables and French fries, but we got only meat and fries which were so fatty that oil was dropping from each one. The food looked disgusting. The owner took the fries from our plate and brought us missing vegetables instead … the worst food in Morocco we got.
