During our visit to Aït Ben Haddou, we had the pleasure of discovering a hidden gem just outside the village, but very close to hotels. We were warmly welcomed by our gracious host, Maryan/Marwan, whose hospitality made the experience unforgettable.

He served us refreshing Verban tea and treated us to an exceptional lamb tagine, paired with freshly baked bread. The flavors were rich and authentic, a true testament to Moroccan culinary tradition. While the tagine was being prepared, Maryan/Marwan engaged us in a thoughtful conversation about our travels and cultures, creating a warm and personal connection.

If you like large portions and fabulous staff, this is the ABH restaurant for you. It was no trouble to put tables together for our group of 10, and they had couscous on a Tuesday 😍 The flavour on the vegetable couscous was delicious, as were the skewers whoch were served with a copious amount of salad, and of course bread and olives were presented. We found the restaurant casually walking by since it didn't appear to us on Google at first glance and we are so happy we did!! The food was delicious and they accommodated super nicely when we asked for some changes on the dishes (vegetarian couscous with plum was delicious!).
