Thanks to the staff for the first impressions. That's why we came back a second time in the evening for a nice dinner. On the first visit, everything was fine except for a very long wait and a huge number of flies (they are everywhere!). When we arrived at the restaurant, we were given a table, we ordered food and wanted to leave, also taking food with us. But no one came up for twenty minutes. And then new guests came, of whom there were more and it turned out that they had booked our table. We politely conceded (I note that the dinner did not end and we were escorted outside, wonderful!) and then it started... instead of offering us a table in the hall (and they were vacating) We were offered to sit outside in rainy and cold weather (very hospitable!), and new guests were allowed in. How is this even possible when the previous guests haven't finished dinner? And we waited two dozen minutes for the ordered dishes to take with us, but they were served on plates, and then another twenty minutes, then we counted for another twenty minutes. They just forgot about us, because we had almost eaten and no new orders were expected from us = profit. This review should have been positive, but as a self-respecting villager, it was unpleasant for me to wait like a dog on the street for...

I had the displeasure of dining at Tanmirt recently, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever had. From start to finish, it was a nightmare.
Firstly, the ambiance was lackluster, with an outdated decor and an overall uninviting atmosphere. But that was the least of my worries once the food arrived.
I ordered the chicken dish, and to my horror, it was evident that the meat was old and likely not stored properly. The taste was off, and the texture was tough and rubbery. I should have trusted my instincts and sent it back, but unfortunately, I decided to soldier on.
Big mistake. Not long after finishing my meal, I started to feel incredibly unwell. It became apparent that I had fallen victim to a case of food poisoning. The next several days were spent in misery, battling nausea, stomach cramps, and other unpleasant symptoms.
The fact that a restaurant can serve such low-quality, potentially hazardous food is appalling. It's not only a matter of poor taste but also a serious health risk to patrons.
Needless to say, I will never set foot in Tanmirt again, and I strongly advise others to steer clear as well. Save yourself the trouble and find a dining establishment that prioritizes food safety and customer...
Read moreAn elevated experience of Moroccon cuisine mixed with culinary influences of India and Spain at the heart of the beautiful town of Ait Benhaddou. The chef (who is originally from Fes) was trained in upscale restaurants at five star hotels. The camel biryani, although intimidating to eat for first timers, had the flavor and texture of a beef meatball but lighter and more delicate. The rice paid great homage to the best biryani's from India. The meat in the lamb tagine was succulent and rich in flavor, wonderfully complimented by the caramelized fig. We ended our meal with the pistachio ice cream that was deliciously and appropriately topped with beet syrup and crushed almonds. All we can say is "Tanmirt!", which translates to "thank you" from the...
