I wanna start by saying that the staff was friendly and worked very hard.
But besides that: The room we stayed in (with 7 girls) was not clean and has only been cleaned once during our stay of 1 week, which I had to ask them to do because it was too dirty. It was only cleaned on the surface and we didn't got clean bed linnen.
We didnt had a proper bin in our room so we had to use the little toilet bin (which ofcourse is not enough for 7 girls..).
We als didn't get clean towels or whatsoever and had to ask for toiletpaper refill often. There were two toilets and 2 showers in our room. 1 toilet didnt work, the other was leaking and the showers were flooding all the time even though we tried to shower short and right above the shower hole.
One of the staplebeds was so wobbly that we were affraid it would fall apart. Thankfully it didn't!
There were also a lot of cockroaches in the room and in the bathroom, we saw them crawling everywhere.
We had breakfast and diner included at this place. Diner was often good but we had the same breakfast almost every day (omelet, juice, coffee/tea and bread). This caused constipation amongst the group. It was a pitty because on the menu of this restaurant there was also oatmeal, fruits and pancakes to be found. Also, when I asked for another coffee of tea, the employees seemed annoyed but never said that this wasn't allowed or whatsoever.
The day before the last day we suddenly got pancakes and fresh juice (jeah)!
The last day we had to leave early so some yoghurt and fruits were dropped in a fridge in a little kitchen on the second floor. When we entered that little kitchen there was cat-shit in the sink.. we didn't dare to eat the fruit there anymore.
Conclusion: The location was nice and it has got potential with a nice terrace for the hotel guests (upstairs). But it needs maintainance and some lovin'. This might be a nice place to go for diner but I would definitely skip...
Read moreIn January 2025, I was Taghazout for a holiday and stayed in several hostels (shared rooms), which were all great experiences—until I moved to "La Paix Hôtel, Restaurant." Unfortunately, I encountered discrimination there.
I booked a stay through Booking app and arrived with a confirmed reservation. However, the reception was unwelcoming. When I mentioned my booking, I was told the hostel was full. After showing my confirmation, the staff said they needed to consult their boss and asked me to leave and wait for a call. About 30 minutes later, I was called back and placed in a room with four beds, where I was the only occupant.
When I inquired about other rooms with people, I was told that they separate Moroccan guests from foreign guests—a policy I had never encountered before. Feeling uncomfortable, I decided to leave. Although I canceled my stay, they charged me for one night, as per their Booking.com policy.
This experience was disappointing and completely unexpected. Discrimination has no place in the...
Read moreWhat an amazing experience we had at both La Paix Hotel and its restaurant!
My boyfriend and I booked a room for a month, and besides the incredible location, we absolutely loved the camp and the food at the restaurant!
The ingredients are fresh and expertly prepared—you can truly savor the authentic flavors of the local cuisine here. We tried several places around the area, but many of them felt like they catered only to tourists, offering food you could find in Morocco or anywhere else in the world. Unfortunately, we also came across places with questionable hygiene or very small portions.
La Paix Restaurant quickly became our go-to spot for almost every meal.
The staff is outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on ensuring you have an excellent experience.
My boyfriend and I couldn’t recommend this place...
