I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Windy Bay every evening during my stay, and I can confidently say that this restaurant has exceeded my expectations in every way. First, the food is outstanding !always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish I tried was tasty and well-prepared, a true reflection of the kitchen’s consistency and attention to detail. The restaurant itself is spotless. Tables are perfectly clean and tidy, and the overall atmosphere is simply amazing. Dining right in front of the ocean, with the fresh breeze on your face, makes the experience truly unforgettable. It’s the kind of place where you don’t just eat you enjoy every moment. The service is on another level. The entire team is warm, professional, and attentive, but I must highlight Marwan. Coming from a hospitality background myself, I can tell when someone genuinely loves what they do, and Marwan is a shining example of this. His genuine smile, his proactive approach when taking orders, and his impressive product knowledge make every interaction special. His language skills are outstanding !! his English accent is flawless, and he switches effortlessly between English ,Arabic and French ,always making guests feel comfortable. What I appreciate the most is the personalization of his service: he addresses me by name each time I visit, which makes the experience feel truly personal and memorable. Marwan is without a doubt a treasure, and the restaurant is very fortunate to have him. I also want to commend the manager, who is always present, approachable, and very professional. His excellent communication skills, genuine smile, and the way he leads his team are clear indicators of strong leadership. You can tell he inspires his staff to deliver at the highest level, and the results are evident in the consistency of both service and food quality. After a full week of dining here every night, I can say with confidence that Windy Bay delivers consistency, professionalism, and excellence every single time. This is not easy to achieve in the hospitality industry, but this team does it effortlessly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended whether you’re looking for delicious food, an unbeatable oceanfront atmosphere, or world-class service, Windy Bay is the...

This was very disappointing food despite the beautiful location which is what initially drew is for an evening sunset meal. We have spent days eating so much amazing cheap food around the whole area before visiting here (not one disappointment until this and I love cooking and know and enjoy good food whether simple or elaborate) and it's been an amazing holiday. The food here however was fresh but with no seasoning at all and portions smaller than other places. the Moroccan salad bland and barely dressed, (I've eaten this every day whilst here and has become a firm favourite) the poke bowl was utterly tasteless. The fresh fish was fresh but nothing special but the hummus was good however. The main thing we really disliked and made us uncomfortable was the attitude of the manager, he screamed at a child selling games for pestering the customers, spoke to his staff rudely and aggressively, and switched to being super polite host when speaking English. It seemed like a charade for wealthy entitled tourists, why visit Morocco if you don't want the experience, just go stay in some tedious walled resort somewhere. The underwhelming experience was completed by being told off for feeding an obviously hungry cat (with a gesture of shooting himself in the head) the cat wasn't causing any issues at all. We had paid for the food and it was ours to share as we wished. I would rather not eat than eat anywhere where it's more important to maintain a facade over feeding any living creature who needs it. I have eaten out two or three times every day here and not only have I shared every meal with any animal around me, many of the delicious and cheap eateries (in tamraght especially) not only have no issue with it but ensure there is always water available for them but also give them anything that would otherwise be thrown away. Not one animal has begged or pestered, and all have taken food gently when I give it to them after our meal. Unsurprisingly I will never eat here again. I'll stay frequenting the places where I get to have a cat on my lap while I drink coffee and wait excitedly for yet another...

4.5/5*

The ‘Moroccan spread’ was a great start to the feed, a perfect combination of fresh and spicy. Zaalouk is a Moroccan eggplant dip which is usually mixed with tomato’s, garlic, cumin and paprika. This particular dip had added tastes of clove and turmeric. The pumpkin dip was intertwined with cinnamon. This was honestly one of the tastiest dips we’ve encountered, sweet with a unique, yet effective combination of flavours. The pickled roasted peppers added another sweetness, with a slight vinegary taste.

The octopus tagine came with an extremely soft and tender octopus. It had a beautiful tomato base with strong notes of garlic, parsley, paprika and lemon.

The bream was cooked to perfection, soft to the touch and stuffed with local thyme. The local thyme in Morroco has a more spicy taste, similar to clove. It was served with softly cooked vegetables, simple yet effective.

The chicken tajine had strong tastes of lemon, pepper, parsley and olives. The chicken was falling apart, tender, ideally salty and the sauce was homely and perfect for dipping bread into.

The beef tajine was actually goat, they often call beef goat. It came with slow cooked apricots and prunes in a well balanced sauce, featuring; cinnamon, cumin, clove, thyme, rosemary and parsley.

The Calamari was noticeably fresh and very lightly battered. It too came with slow cooked vegetables and paired fantastically with a squeeze of lemon and the provided goat milk sauce.

Overall, this was a beautifully constructed Moroccan feed, utilising fresh seafood in a fishing town, whilst incorporating traditional Moroccan...

I just had one of the worst meals I’ve ever eaten. I ordered a cheeseburger, and while the 30-minute wait might seem long, I didn’t mind—watching the ocean made it bearable. At first glance, the burger looked fine when it arrived. But after taking one bite, I was genuinely shocked—I couldn’t even hide the expression on my face. Who on earth thought it was a good idea to press the burger bun flat and toast it until it turned rock hard? The bun was so dry and stiff that as I tried to bite into it, the fillings kept sliding out, and the whole thing felt like I was chewing on a brick. It was so tough, I had to switch to using a knife and fork, and even then it wouldn’t cut properly. The fries were just as disappointing—overcooked, dry, and completely flavorless. I didn’t try anything else on the menu, but based on this experience, I have no desire to ever come back. This was hands down the worst food I’ve had in Morocco. The only reason I’m giving this place one star is for the ocean view—not for the food.
