If You’re in Taghazout and Don’t Eat Here… What Are You Even Doing?
Visited this place yesterday and wow! Calling the cheeseburger "standard" is the understatement of the year. Without exaggeration, this might be the best burger I’ve had in Morocco… possibly even the world. The patty was cooked to absolute perfection, and the caramelised onions? Unreal.
And the potatoes, I was expecting the usual frozen fries, but these were next level: thinly sliced, perfectly seasoned, and honestly so good I’d come back just for them. Paired it with a fresh orange juice which was spot on.
I was so impressed I came back today to try the chicken burger. I braced myself for the usual breaded patty, nope. What I got were tender chunks of grilled chicken, melt in yourmouth good. I asked for no aubergine (not my thing), but it still came stacked with camembert, yes, actual gooey camembert and those dreamy onions again.
To top it off, the young waitress was a total star: friendly, attentive, not overbearing, just genuinely lovely service. She’s an absolute asset to the place.
Taghazout has a lot to offer, but this restaurant is a standout. If you’re in town and don’t eat here at least once, you’re seriously missing out. I’ll...
Read moreI honestly don’t even know where to start with how utterly disastrous this experience was. From the moment we walked in, it was clear things were going downhill. The cups they served our tea in were dirty. Like, not just a little smudge—these cups were gross. How do you serve something like that to a customer? But that was just the beginning. It took an entire hour for a Coke Zero to arrive. An hour. For soda. I thought they were playing some cruel joke on us. And it only gets worse. Our food took an hour and a half to come out while the table that came before us got theirs in 30 minutes , and when it did, it was cold. I have no idea how you mess up burgers that badly, but they managed to do it—cold in the middle after all that waiting.
But wait—there’s more. The waitress was incredibly rude. She rolled her eyes every time we said anything to her. When we complained about the cold food, she had the nerve to say, “Sorry you didn’t like the food,” with zero apology or remorse. It was like she couldn’t care less. This was honestly one of the most frustrating, infuriating dining...
Read moreBy far the best food in Taghazout! I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and every meal has been absolutely delicious. The healthy burger is a great flavour combo with super yummy potato wedges to accompany that are thin and crispy. The Kefta tajine though is easily my favorite meal here and the best in Taghazout without question (and I’ve tried at least 4 different Kefta Tajines from various places over the last two weeks). The taste is amazing and I love that the veggies are chunky and plentiful which lend to the full flavour profile. Also, it is a massive portion compared to other places, but for the same price as everywhere else and also comes with a plate of those delicious potato wedges and bread, so is a super filling meal. Everything tastes super fresh and you can tell it’s all made with love. The staff are also fantastic. Super attentive and helpful, but still giving you plenty of space to just enjoy your meal and lounge on the patio with...
