After reading the reviews, reserving this hotel felt like a gamble. We weren’t sure what to expect, as there were a mix of decent reviews and others describing horror stories. We arrived at the hotel after a long journey from Ouarzazate. Upon arrival, there was a long queue, as the hotel seemed quite busy. After some time, we were finally called to the front desk. We provided our passports, filled out a form with the necessary information, and were handed our keys. We then carried our luggage through what seemed like endless corridors. Our room was located at the far back of the resort. When we finally reached it and entered, we were shocked to find towels on the floor and two open suitcases—clearly, it was someone else’s room. We immediately left, closed the door, and my wife and kids waited outside while I headed back to the reception, where I had to queue up again, growing increasingly frustrated. When I was eventually served, I explained what had happened and showed them photos of the room, as I wanted to avoid any further delays. After about 10-15 minutes, I was informed that the previous guest had extended their stay, but the system had not been updated to reflect this. The receptionist didn’t even apologize, simply handed me a new key. I insisted that we needed help moving our luggage, as I wasn’t going to carry it all again. When we got to the new room, we discovered that the beds had no pillowcases and there were no towels. Furious, I left my wife and kids in the room and returned to the reception for the second time. The receptionist just called housekeeping and assured me they would bring the pillowcases and towels. I asked to speak with the hotel manager, but was told he was off-duty and could be contacted the following day. I returned to the room, but the towels and pillowcases still hadn’t arrived. After waiting two hours, I went back to the reception and made a fuss. It took another hour for the items to finally be delivered, and we didn’t get to sleep until after midnight, as we refused to sleep on pillows without cases. The room itself was very basic. The fridge didn’t work, so we couldn’t store any cold water or drinks. The TV and Wi-Fi worked, but the room was in desperate need of renovation. It was probably a high 5-star hotel at one time, but it has clearly declined. The room was standard in size and had a balcony, but the shower head was broken and sprayed water everywhere, and there was mold in the bathroom. You can see the issues in the pictures. We spoke with other guests who mentioned that their bedding was stained and they even found cockroaches in their room. They were also denied room changes, making it clear that we weren’t the only ones with problems. Breakfast was included in the reservation, but it was the same basic selection every day. We got bored by the second day and started having breakfast elsewhere. The pools were decent but showing signs of wear and tear. Overall, this hotel was slightly cheaper than some of the other resorts we considered, particularly those with slides for children. However, I wouldn’t stay here again due to the poor experience. The hotel seriously needs renovation; it was likely highly rated a few years ago, but it has deteriorated significantly since then.

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Upon arrival the customer service was appalling; the staff were so rude and wanted to assist us as little as possible and this behaviour continued throughout our whole stay. The corridors were poorly lit and were so unclean: there were stains on the carpet, an off-putting smell everywhere and broken wires sticking out everywhere which was a major concern for my young children who could have touched these and electrocuted themselves. And don’t even get me started on the rooms themselves they were so outdated and unclean. The walls had mould and were crumbling off, the beds were rock hard and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned with stains everywhere. Once we arrived at the room one of the beds didn’t even have a duvet and when we raised this with the staff they bought us an unwashed one that was coated in green mould. I don’t even know how they thought this was acceptable and when we went back to reception to tell them about this they said countless times that we were wrong until they came to our room to asses it and replace it. The door keys were broken half the time and we kept having to go back to reception to get new ones. There were also cockroaches in our room which had my children crying and when we told staff they did nothing about the issue despite them saying they would deep clean the room. In addition the breakfast room was freezing cold to the point where you would have to wear your coat to go eat. The only reason we came here was for the aqua park just to find out it wasn’t even in function and the pool was too cold to even go into. I would not wish this experience upon my worst enemies and a passionately believe this place should be shut down.

If you’re thinking about coming here, think twice!!!!! We stayed in Marrakech at Mogador Aqua Fun, and the reception was very rude. The hotel is dark and outdated. The rooms are old-fashioned and dusty, and the bathroom is moldy, with a bathtub that seems to be from the time the hotel was built. We didn’t have any towels or bath towels to dry off with, and when we called the reception, no one answered or answered annoyed. The place is also not cleaned daily, and toilet paper is not restocked. If you want it to be clean you have to beg for it. The ground in the pool are extremely slippery, and the stairs to the slides are rusty and unsafe, as are the slides themselves. So i would think twice to bring my child here again. The only good things are that it’s close to Jemaa el-Fna and the food is decent. The breakfast is okay, but I definitely wouldn’t return!

Excellent because this hotel is a gem in little Marakech. After struggle to decide on a hotel and after reading many reviews, more bad than good, we took a leap of faith on this. It showed to be a good choice: it was clean, decor is attractive and detailed; reasonable distance from airport & to other places; staff are kind and hard working; multilingual; well managed; well kept; we had Twin room w/ Garden view (3135) I think not every room is the same but walking by when cleaning in process they looked good too; the carpet in corridors were cleaned, windows too, plants/grass watered; it is clear that they read their reviews. There was a glass in bathroom for water (bottled water comes with tea/coffee); shower curtains are changed every 2 days so keeping hygiene, the aircon was not too cold & you can customise to low med or hi: we had medium sometimes low/off & slept in undergarments or wore nightgown, there is a blanket in wardrobe if needed); the furniture was fine too. General: cabinet with draws, mirrors, a combination safe for your documents/cash, wardrobe, a tv with multiple channels, decent bed to lay on, soft and hard pillows, shower with good pressure and temp; pool looked great, i am 5.5" it came up to my shoulder, both adult pools were clean, as well as the outer floor during the night; there is music which can be turned down on request & changes genre; the slides were fun (grown up & child friendly); there is a toddlers pool with apparatus; there is service for food & tea/coffee on both pool sides (reception 1 main) and for the second pool further down, also quieter; cleaners came every day to clean the room/ bathroom/ bed/replace used towels (sometimes the cleaner will have to return with new towels. Yes they were polite and understanding); good distance from busy jama el-fna medina (10 min by bus); hotel is 10 min walk to Al mazar mall (close @midnight)(Offers laser game room, arcades, bowling, Baskin Robins icecream, KFC, pizza hut, french tacos, climbing frames, indoor climbing activity, coffee, bubble tea, shops & carrefour (grocery) and more). This is on the strip: Av. Du 7Ă©me art and just 2-3 shops down from Al Mazar (toward hotel) is a small cafe (unmamed on Google maps but is adjacent mojito palm cafe) for a tasty omelette! The one with tuna & tomato rosemary. There is other shops here. The hotel is 10 min walk (approx) from Tinsmiths square, and other great views. The hotel was large, at main reception there is a cash ATM (provides other languages), activity organiser desk, hagen daz icecream vendor, during the day: mini snack shop; there was also a mini spa offering hamam, oil massage/cleanse, hair treatment, hair trimming; it was good because you have everything you might need without leaving the hotel, and when you do leave you can return knowing your belongings are safe & there is assistance always, and relief from the heat! The security was polite & done the job fine, its clear not anyone can just walk in which is good. They also help to arrange taxi/give directions. We stayed for 10 days and would 100% stay there again. Morocco is an interesting place, this hotel was a nice choice and the staff are amazing & knowledgable 👏 thanks to everyone. |Edit: breakfast was so good &...

Dear Management,

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and utter frustration with the unacceptable level of service I experienced at Mogador Aqua Fun Marrakech during my stay last month. This complaint does not even touch on the hotel's overall filth and inadequate facilities, which are entirely below any reasonable standard for hospitality. Instead, I will focus on an incident that is simply unforgivable.

Upon checking out with my colleagues for a work trip, one of them inadvertently left behind personal belongings in the room. When we returned in the afternoon to retrieve them, we were informed that the staff member responsible for safeguarding the rooms had taken the key with her and, shockingly, there was no spare copy available! The sheer incompetence and lack of professionalism in this situation are beyond belief. Such carelessness not only cost me valuable time and money but also completely disrupted my schedule, causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

Despite being assured by your staff that we could return at any time to collect the belongings, the nightmare only continued. After a month of waiting, I made another trip to the hotel today to recover the items, only to be met with the same level of incompetence and unhelpful staff. The difficulties I faced this time were equally frustrating, and the lack of accountability from your team is appalling.

This hotel is an absolute disgrace. From the poor state of the facilities to the shockingly unprofessional staff, I cannot stress enough how strongly I advise others to avoid this establishment. If you want to waste your time, money, and energy, by all means, stay at Aqua Fun Marrakech.

This has been an exhausting and infuriating experience, and I demand immediate action to address this matter. A hotel operating with such gross negligence should not be allowed to continue without consequences.

If there is a number under zero, it would be given...
