JANA MOROCCAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

Unfortunately had a disappointing experience at Jana Moroccan Restaurant. My family and I came here looking for Yamakan and were told it was the same establishment. Once inside, it turned out that the concept was changed from an á la carte menu to a buffet. Not exactly what we wanted, but since it was late and we were hungry, we decided to stay.

The buffet was rather mediocre. The food was nothing special and ranged from lukewarm to cold. It seemed to me the food had been reheated.

After not even finishing a single plate and having a few glasses of water and some cokes, we decided to leave. Only then were we told that the restaurant had an open bar and all you can eat concept and that the price per person was 600 MAD. Since we barely ate or drank anything, we were incredibly disappointed.

Service was kind and attentive and eventually took the price down.

In short, not at all what we had in mind and little value (at least food-wise) for the steep price, even after...

I had an amazing time at this restaurant. The service was outstanding — the staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. The food was incredibly delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavor. The place is also very clean and well-organized, which made the experience even better.
