A good address to stay in Mandalay. Some rooms are reasonably big (first stay), some a little smaller (second stay). The facilities are quite good on a 3 to 4 stars level. The rooftop pool is a nice place to take a break. The restaurant is not cheap but quite good. The breakfast is more asiatic, with a continental touch. Nice to have a lot of fruits at the breakfast. The employees are friendly and speaking a reasonable english. Not so fancy is the region around the hotel, but I'm not sure if there are many nicer places for the moment in Mandalay.

I was not happy with the Yadanarbon, so I was lucky we only stayed there for 2 nights. The breakfast was nice but the room "with window" - we'll, for the window look at the picture. The room was small although the most expensive stay in Myanmar (50€/Night). The bathtub was leaking and there was a really bad smell in the room on the second day. The rooftop pool is nice although the glasses of the infinity view were so dirty you can't look through. Being worn down and dirt really was an issue here. The location is great though.

Hotel Yadanarbon is a good choice considering the local conditions. It has a great location, and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit worn and “dusty,” but this is something you’ll notice across Myanmar, especially with fewer tourists around. Despite that, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was quite good. Overall, it’s a pleasant and convenient place to stay.

Great location - Mandalay is a BIG city and Grab tuktuks are so cheap, location is not too important, but we found we could walk to a lot of places from here (we do like to walk).||||Friendly staff who will try their best to accommodate any requests (there was a very particular guest giving out about blankets in their room and the staff went out of their way to help).||||The rooftop pool is great with a nice view, however the food / drink prices are far too expensive for Mandalay. We visited several rooftop bars for food / drink, and this was the most expensive (but with the least impressive view).||||Excellent breakfast - 10/10!||||When we were leaving early morning, the staff will happily prepare a breakfast box for you which you can pick-up at reception.||||The building feels a little old / run-down, but the rooms are clean. Carpets in the hallways need replacing, some cracks in the walls but nothing that would put you...

MUST READ THIS.....spent 2 nights here, on the last night coordinated a one-way bus trip to Bagan. Paid the hotel receptionist 20k for 2 ticket, and bus would pick me up at 12pm and would drop off at hotel in Bagan. Now the dissappointment....4 hours into the trip, the bus stops, a woman enters the bus and says to pay 50,000 kyat for entry to Bagan. However, we did not have 50,000, maybe if this hotel informed us about the cost, we may not have decided to go at all, probably still would have, but, its not about money, its about principle, inform your customers of any additional costs along the way....how about charge the fee upfront, it should be 35,000 per person, which includes the entry cost to Bagan. Its just another surprise cost that ruined the scenic trip to Bagan, thanks for the heads up Yadarnabon, and the surprise cost of 2.5x the...

Highly unsatisfied

We had a 2-night-booking (confirmed!) at this Hotel. Upon arriving they couldn't find the reservation and told us they were fully booked the first night. They contacted another hotel (Tiger One) for us to stay there. When we mentioned that this Hotel was much cheaper (17 EUR instead of 54 EUR) they promised we'd get a discount when checking-out. At the checkout they didn't want to know anything about this discount. They told us we got a room-upgrade (which we didn't ask for and which would never be worth 37 EUR) and denied us the promised discount. Had we known that we would never have accepted the transfer to the cheaper hotel, but cancelled the 1st night and booked another hotel ourselves. So despite the facilities and breakfast was ok I cannot recommend a hotel which...
